Very well, I shall start it again.... I wiil not buy this record, it is scratched. Is this the right thread for an argument? Shut your festering gob, you tit! Your type really makes me puke, you vacuous, coffee-nosed, maloderous, pervert!!! Oh, an ARGUMENT? I'm sorry, but this is abuse. You want thread 12A, just along the corridor.
  2. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Jan 25 2005, 12:18 PM) Man after reading that list I realized I need to get a life. I have seen 5 of the movies on the list, but 4 of them are kids movies (3 animated). I need to meet more adults. I'm with you bro.....I saw exactly ONE of these in the theatre (Spiderman 2). Seen about six of the others on video. Sheesh, I gotta get out more
  3. So when's the Life of Brian viewing party....this is the catalyst that I need to actually go out and buy this DVD (...and I call myself a fan )

  6. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jan 13 2005, 01:34 PM) Regarding last night's episode: If Sayyid thought that the compass Locke gave him was defective, then why did he simply not check it against the one he made? Or did he? My 'monster' theory: I am leaning towards the theory that 'Lost' is a retelling of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'. The insane French woman may be Ariel gone mad, and the 'monster' may be her dark side manifesting itself. Also, perhaps the mysterious man who kidnapped the pregnant woman is Caliban. I wonder who will be Prospero? Could the hatch be the entrance to Prospero's cave under seal? What do you guys think? Is any of this feasible, or am I talking through my hat? Interesting theory Jack, and I don't have an opinion because I can't remember most of the basis of The Tempest....perhaps a reread is in order. I'm starting to think that the island makes people have hyper-real hallucinations based on the "skeletons in their closet"...this week's episode had the most realistic hallucination so far in which the guy actually had conversations with his "sister" as they were being chased by the monster. Locke seems to have it all figured out, but I'm still pretty confused....and lovin' it:haz:
  7. Drop your panties, Sir William; I cannot wait 'til lunchtime.
  8. I've heard that this is going to have some real badass violence http://www.iuploads.com/uploads/6777caa8cc.jpg
  9. I'd say he could chuck a face cord of hardwood and a full cord of softwood.....unless he got shot by a farmer as he chucked.
  10. I see board people....now THAT's funny....to a drunken buffoon

  13. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jan 8 2005, 11:24 AM) QUOTE (afansince74 @ Jan 7 2005, 10:00 PM) Too late! Nah... just kidding! She's great! Okay, here's a tricky one (or probably not, for you guys)... Who played the part of the Black Night in Monty Python and the Holy Grail? That would be John Cleese. QUOTE (afansince74 @ Jan 8 2005, 09:36 AM)Okay, here's the 1st clue to this "tricky one": When Arthur cuts off the Black Knight's leg, a "change" takes place.... HMMM? When the first leg is cut off, the Black Knight is no longer taller than King Arthur, meaning John Cleese is no longer in the actor in the armor. Richard Burton played the Knight after his legs were cut off. ...the one legged actor named Richard Burton....not that other famous guy (If correct ( ) I defer the next question to 1001 because I'm on kid duty today )
  14. QUOTE (afansince74 @ Jan 7 2005, 09:17 PM) Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin You are correct sir...you may proceed (at the risk of further offending your wife)
  15. Well all right: Name two musical acts who were investors in the production of The Holy Grail.
  16. Awesome series of books that anyone with an offbeat or sarcastic sense-of-humor should read. I'm looking forward to this more than any other movie this year (It is supposedly an unfilmable book, but that's what they said about Lord of the Rings.....hope they can pull this one off with even half the success of LOTR)
  17. We're Knights of the Round Table. We dance whene'er we're able. We do routines and chorus scenes With footwork impeccable. We dine well here in Camelot. We eat ham and jam and spam a lot. We're Knights of the Round Table. Our shows are formidable, But many times we're given rhymes That are quite unsingable. We're opera mad in Camelot. We sing from the diaphragm a lot. In war we're tough and able, Quite indefatigable. Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable. It's a busy life in Camelot. I have to push the pram a lot.
  18. Looks like he's going back to a Heavenly Creatures-type film.....should be a good change of pace after Kong. I for one look forward to this (...and maybe by then they will have secured the rights to The Hobbit....well a person can dream )
  19. That's awesome I already was happy that Singer was at the helm based on his X-men treatment. I was hoping that they wouldn't go with the campy Lex Luthor of the 70's films, and now I'm sure that they're going to do it proper. Spacey will be great
  20. Wow, a few of my top 10 are some people's most hated movies I'd say that Freddy Got Fingered was the worst I've seen (I finally rented it a few weeks ago after avoiding it at the video store......I should have kept avoiding it....AWFUL movie ) There's a number of movies that I'm always tempted to rent based on their bad word-of-mouth, but I have avoided them to date (e.g., Battlefield Earth, Driven, Heaven's Gate). Anybody else have this unnatural urge to rent bad movies occasionally? .......oh, and any movie that digitally manipulates toddler's mouths to move and talk......they all freak me out a bit.
  21. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Jan 7 2005, 09:54 AM) QUOTE (Bastille Night @ Jan 4 2005, 03:35 PM) Yep, Salem's Lot freaked me out for years......the scene where the kid floats up to his brother's window and starts scratching on it....yipes (I just noticed that there doesn't appear to be a 'scared' emoticon here....I demand a scared emoticon ) Did someone ask for a scared smiley? I have added this guy to our smiley selection. Now THAT'S service. Many thanks GG.......I'm scared alot of the time
