  1. I'm happy to see them have a sellout, I'm hoping that we have a loud and rocking crowd!!! only 4 more days!!
  2. QUOTE (DigitalDan @ Apr 11 2011, 11:23 AM) 1) Forget which song but sounded like Geddy forgot the lyrics, looked over at him and he moved away from the mic and looked like he was cussing or something. Not sure if anyone else noticed this. I thought he missed one line it was either Presto or Marathon, it was early in the show.. I wasn't sure and then I couldn't remember which one it was. It was in a verse, not a chorus.
  3. We were in middle section row 22, I thought the show was great, from where we were they were on fire, I thought Geds voice was stronger on the high notes than when I saw them in september. Good crowd where I was.
  4. I'm going!!! Me and the whole family!
  5. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Apr 6 2011, 04:32 PM) Might see them now that they are touring with Styx if tickets are reasonable. If it was just Yes, then no way. If you go to the Styx website it will tell you which shows Yes is the headliner and which one's will have Styx playing as headliner. http://www.styxworld.com/
  6. I'm a Journey fan for many, many years and I don't hate it, don't love it yet.. I'm almost looking forward to the album. Just have to wait and see what the rest is like.
  7. Very nice, I love the guy down at front and center playing his "air drums" It just makes you smile.

Hells ya. Don't be playin' like you ain't all jealous! One must never mock the Monte. I've had a love affair with the Monte Carlo since high school. I'm on my second one and I'd buy another if I needed another car. For awhile I had two of them at the same time, a bright red one and my current yellow one. (A 2004 SS, all show, no go) I loved to look at them sitting next to each other in the driveway.. sick, I know. I love the early Monte Carlos. This was a damn nice looking car. http://www.firsttraderegistry.com/forsale/5_07/70montecarlo/1970%20%20Monte%20Carlo%20002.jpg Woooo, that IS nice. Someone has put a lot of love into restoring that car. It is yummy!
  9. Great pics, thanks for taking the time to shoot them and share them.. it looks like you got all the good stuff: 1. Alex and that arm above the head thing that I love 2. Ged and Alex having fun 3. Alex and Neil making faces 4. Ged and Neil having fun 5. The backside of Ged Yup, all the good stuff.. only a week and a day till Hershey!! YaHoo!!

  11. I just sent email to Music Today about tickets for Hershey, seems like I had them earlier last time.. I'm was getting worried about them, glad to see some of them are turning up..
  12. Nicely played, that's some funny sh*t
  13. No secret that I'm a big Styx fan. I like it all up to PT. I've probably seen Styx more than any other act, the way they tour I usually get at least two shows a year. I recently saw the GI/Po8 tour they just did, it was simply magical. Po8 was and is one of my favorite albums. Like many, I'm a fan of Tommy Shaw and don't miss Dennis DeYoung at all. Once you get past the annoyance of Lawrence Gowan's spinning keyboard he's really quite a good replacement for Dennis. It was this last show I saw that finally made me a fan of his too. I know Dennis was behind that "Styx" sound that they had but still don't miss him. I enjoyed Cyclorama and listen to it now and then. They recenlty released a new track which is ok as far as a Styx song, but really good as a Tommy Shaw song. I almost wish they would settle down for awhile and put some time into more new music, but a Styx show is so much fun, I hate to see them take time off the road..
  14. You will be surprised at how much you do like Stick it Out, performed live you will find it monumental.

  16. Congrats!! Glad to hear that your precious little one and the Mrs. are doing well... Best wishes that the little one continues to gain strength and the Mrs. heals quickly from her delivery.
  17. Got the FedEx today with my ticket for Lawrence Gowan, 3-12 in Niagra Falls.. paid a butload of money for that passport, finally get to use it.
  18. Styx - Pieces of Eight, the only album that I love as much or sometimes more than AFtK Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here I've also got a soft spot for Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever; Billy Joel Glass Houses and Paul Simon Graceland. A pretty eclectic group of music.
  19. Very interesting, it is a shame we don't know more about John.. funny thing is Lawrence Gowan is kind of a ramdom mention.. I just bought tickets for one of his March shows.. serendipity.
  20. QUOTE (Earthshine @ Dec 25 2010, 07:17 AM) No, Eddie IS over-rated. Like Jimi Hendrix, and Jimmy Paige. The only thing Eddie ever did that was worthwile, was Eruption. Even that was blegh. [/quote] It is spelled Page. Come on man! And he is not overrated. Nor is Hendrix. Van Halen is a fabulous guitarist no doubt. Exactly - If you're gonna dis on Pagey at least spell his name right. But I do gotta jump into the EVH is overrated camp.
  21. For those who may like bluegrass/country: http://thegreatdividemusic.com/ Apparently he's been working on this for years. I'd heard rumors of it for quite awhile, but never thought it would actually come to fruition. Not my favorite genre of music, but will check it our when released.
  22. QUOTE (Lamelight @ Dec 12 2010, 06:13 AM) QUOTE (Wilderness_of_Mirrors @ Dec 12 2010, 03:57 AM) QUOTE (Lamelight @ Dec 11 2010, 03:42 PM) QUOTE (micgtr71 @ Dec 11 2010, 03:45 PM)QUOTE (Lamelight @ Dec 10 2010, 08:22 AM) Joy Division I like Joy Division as well. I think you're the first one I know who likes both Rush and Joy Division ME TOO!!!!! love Joy Division.....and The Smiths. I'd like to hear The Smiths. Any recommendations where I should start? If you're going to get into The Smiths, put Depeche Mode and Echo and the Bunnymen on your list also.
  23. HA!! Maybe I am going to Cleveland also?!?!?
  24. I'm going to take a different approach to this whole ticket price thing - I got 6 tickets for the Hershey show, four in row 22 and two in section 119; taking in the service fees, etc I probably dropped $800 in the space of five minutes, I purposely didn't look at the total after seeing the cost of the actual tickets. It is what it is. Buy em or stay home. Rush is the favorite band of my entire family; and we're going as a family. The oldest is 51 and the youngest is 17. When all is said and done, it will be well worth it for the time spent together doing something we all love. I'm not complaining about the cost, (I don't think the cost of the actual ticket is that exhorbitant) I'm going to be thankful that I have a good job that pays me enough that I'm able to afford the tickets.
