  1. I don't do that any more, but films I have watched many times include Bladerunner (obsessed husband is responsible for making this one of my favourite films) Stargate (unaccountable James Spader obsession, and it's a great film) White Palace (see above) Truly, Madly, Deeply (entirely justifiable Alan Rickman obsession) Moonstruck ("Why do men chase women?" "Because they are afraid of dying") Muppet Christmas Carol (it's a tradition in our house) and, above all Monty Python and the Holy Grail (which I can recite in huge chunks, way more huge than the Shakespeare and Emily Bronte I was allegedly studying at the time of repeated watching )

  8. Bravado, but Dreamline and Ghost of a Chance are not far behind.
  9. Losing It, with Subdivisions a very close second.
  10. Necromancer. I can't adequately explain why, other than when I heard it again a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 20 years, it made me feel all peculiar. In a good way.
  11. I just bought this album on CD, having not heard it for probably 20 years ( ) and found I remembered every word of Rivendell! I remember loving it at the time when I was first into Tolkein. But I've voted for In the End, simply because it's the track that made me sing out, grin madly and turn up the volume when I heard it again last week.
  12. Right. Turn off the phones and pour the wine. I am off to watch Rush DVDs and drool without fear of anyone ridiculing me. The boys have gone to see WASP.
  13. I'm terribly ashamed, but it seems I only listened to this once when I bought it in 2000, and then put it on the shelf. Since Friday night it's taken up residence in my car, driven around Leeds with me a few times, and taken me to Sheffield and back. I love this album. I voted for Still, but Slipping and Grace to Grace are a close joint second, and the rest of the album is not far behind.
  14. QUOTE (Cygnus @ Nov 2 2007, 02:13 PM) Dinner Date A man and a beautiful woman were having dinner in a fine restaurant. Their waitress (taking another order at a table a few paces away) suddenly noticed that the man was slowing sliding down his chair and under the table, but the woman acted unconcerned. The waitress watched as the man slid all the way down his chair and out of sight under the table. Still, the woman dining across from him appeared calm and unruffled, apparently unaware that her dining companion had disappeared. After the waitress finished taking the order, she came over to the table and said to the woman, "Pardon me, ma'am, but I think your husband just slid under the table. The woman calmly looked up at her and replied, "No he didn't. He just walked in the door."
  15. QUOTE (Rush! @ Nov 2 2007, 08:37 PM) I always though the whole YYZed thing was a play on words with Geddy's nickname. Zed/Ged. It's because it's the code for Toronto airport, isn't it? I remember being very excited on arriving in Toronto and discovering this when I found YYZ on my luggage tag.
  16. More great pics..... and I most definitely enjoyed the Chronicles vid. Sunday evening I'm all alone for a second leisurely viewing, with plenty of opportunity to clear up the drool before the men in my real life get home.
  17. Help me! How do I watch the Enemy Within and Afterimage? It says they are hidden and I can't find them.
