Maaaan, what- are you jealous I'm going and you're not?? lol

Delete the bum, HOBO (pun intended). You'll have a great time, nothing better than a live RUSH show. And once you see them.....you might feel differently about moving up closer. But your first RUSH show, you don't need to have stellar seats...enjoy the music, the theatrics, the crowd. All good at Summerfest! 5 more days, WOOHOO!! -
I was near the back of 102 and thought the sound was not great during first half. Seemed much better during second half, I agree. Ears still ringing!
-
See ya there, Hobo. We'll be checking out Animation.

That was a BEAUTIFUL sight. Hats off to Carbomb for making that happen, just made the concert that much better. Was it just me, or did the sound really suck for the first half of the show? Geddy's voice seemed "off" in a few places. Sound seemed better in the 2nd half.

Wonder if we'll get any Hawks players to come down for the show after the big parade/celebration at Grant Park. Hockey and Rush, they're both Canadian. Any guesses as to what Hawks jersey Geddy will don? -

I am in section 102...how about you Eddie? -
Here's the scoop. I've already got tickets for the Rush Chicago show at Tinley. Just got a call from a local radio station and now I'll have another pair waiting for me at Will-call. None of my buddies can take the extra pair of tickets, so I'm putting them up for someone in need on the Rush board. Send me a private message if you can use the seats and want to go. I'd prefer these go to a true Rush fan, perhaps someone that couldn't afford to go. I don't know where the seats are located, but I expect that they are somewhere in the pavillion. You'll have to meet me there. All I'd ask for, in return, is for you to purchase a single Rush swag item at the show for my 15 yo daughter (who is accompanying me to the show)....a CA hat or shirt would be cool. If this sounds agreeable to you, hit me up with a message. :Neil:

Which Full Album Would Your Rather Hear Live?
skeeter replied to Pars123's topic in On The Lighted Stage
Presto for me. I'd love to hear Hand over Fist live. Signals would be my 2nd choice. -
Chicago Ticketmaster just released some great seats
skeeter replied to skeeter's topic in On The Lighted Stage
They may not even sell lawn seats if Pavillion isn't sold out. At a prior Tinley show, I recall they were upgrading people off the lawn for $10.....employees walking around with big billboards advertising such -

We have 4 going, and it's still a better idea taking the bus. You drive and you pay for gas (a couple bucks) and parking (usually about $20). The Flyer for us is $6.50 round trip. $26 total. It may be a buck or 2 more that we would have spent driving, but the easy in, easy out is well worth it. Those coming from out of town... I highly recommend the flyers: http://www.ridemcts....ices/summerfest http://www.ridemcts.com/images/default-source/routes_schedules_images/freeway-flyer-service-map-summerfest-lg.png where you sitting, Lost? PS....still no email :(

QUOTE (balance @ May 6 2012, 07:51 PM) Why not.. Both my wife and I are un-employed and I picked up 2 tickets. You have to have your priorities in the right place.... Write to your Congressman....maybe he can get some new legislation passed thru which will provide govt assistance for Rush tix.

QUOTE (iglehart @ Apr 22 2012, 08:37 PM) Is this the same account as for the last tour? I had an account and tried to get my password because I forgot it, but it says no such email. Do I need to make a new account? I had a MT account/password from last 2 tours, but didn't work this time either. I created a new account. Good luck with presale.

8yr. old daughter's first show a success!
skeeter replied to Test4Eco23's topic in On The Lighted Stage
Test, I think I saw your daughter's shirt last night. I had my 13 yo daughter with me, we were in Sec 304....and we both saw a pink "1st concert" shirt and my daughter exclaimed "Awww, how cute!" Amazing show, we were both smiles all night. Loved Presto and TCE. Hope you guys enjoyed. -
Just pulled 2, sec 120 (Ged side) r 19, high seat #s. Seat 1 in lower bowl is on your right when seated, so looks like on the aisle with 121

I'd join you guys at Morettis, but I'm going to have my 13 yr old daughter tagging with me to the show (her 3rd)...gotta keep the next generation going! Have fun.

Ha, love that plate! What section are your seats? Welcome to Chicago. If you have time...you might want to go down to Navy Pier and/or stroll along the lake. Weather today is 83...unfortunately, looks like it will be in the 50's Monday and Tues. There might be a meetup of Rush fans...I think another board was mentioning Morettis. http://www.morettischicago.com/
