  6. I still say that My Bloody Valentine's Loveless would be the winner, especially while under the influence of drugs.

  8. I love it. Asides from the sentimental feelings I have for the record (it was one of the first Yes albums I bought), I think it's an excellent record. And "Tempus Fugit" is probably one of my favorite Yessongs of all time.
  9. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Apr 12 2011, 10:58 AM) QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Apr 12 2011, 10:56 AM) QUOTE (Imaginos @ Apr 12 2011, 02:51 PM) I'm amazed at how good "A Grounding In Numbers" is. It's currently a strong contender for my album of the year (yes, I know we're only 4 months in). It's bloody marvellous. Okay, you guys sold me, I'm getting it. Same.

  12. QUOTE (CMWriter @ Apr 12 2011, 07:41 PM)Ahh!! High school drama!! :C High school drama is SERIOUS BUSINESS. Fortunately, my school is too small for such drama to affect me... and if it did, my apathy would block it

  14. This Tuesday, I'll be heading to Best Buy to pick up these three records: 1. new Thursday album (Common Existence), a band whom I'm not too familiar with, though I did enjoy their last record; 2. new TV on the Radio record (Nine Types of Light), a band I've heard nothing but good things about for the past two years, though I've failed to listen to an album of theirs; 3. new Foo Fighters record (Wasted Light), a band where I know a couple of their songs but I don't own an album of theirs. So basically, these are my gateways into these bands. I hope I enjoy all of them, which I probably will to some extent...
  15. Working Man Fly by Night Closer to the Heart The Spirit of Radio Freewill Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta (occasionally) Limelight Subdivisions (somewhat frequently) New World Man (I think I've heard it here...) I don't listen to radio anymore, but this is pretty comprehensive, considering I'd been listening to the local dadrock station for more than a decade.

IMO, of course. I have to agree. I was really disappointed, considering my love for "Funeral." I recently downloaded Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars and am in love. I'll also agree. There's only a few good tracks and the rest are all crap. Funeral and Neon Bible are much better. And I know it seems like the opinion of virtually every fan of Arcade Fire, but it's how I genuinely feel. I've listened to Funeral and Neon Bible once each, yet I loved them on their first listen. The Suburbs got a few spins before I realized that I probably wasn't gonna like it.

  22. I'm listening to Bona Drag now, and I think it's completely blown the door wide open in terms of me wanting to explore Morrissey's catalog, as well as to explore The Smiths some more. How is it possible that of the 40-odd Morrissey songs that I know, that I only really dislike one?
