Any RUSH fans also prone to a little SAHB??

I will be going to see it when it opens in Scotland with my 19year old daughter. It was the first movie I ever took her to & the first movie she ever saw in a theatre & we we went together to see TS2 when it came out so we will be completing the trilogy together which is nice

Man......all the " this song in"..."that song out"..."this solo"..."that solo". Spare a thought for us Europeans....at least your gettin to see the band. I've never missed a UK tour, 1977 to the S&A's tour & it's killin me that they're touring & it will until a UK tour is announced. JUST ENJOY IT GUYS & GALS :D

If you watch the "time machine outro video" thread in the tour section, Neil tells you exactly how to pronounce his name!

Bastille Day from ATWAS 1977 14 years old Friends of mine at school had talked me into to going to see RUSH play at the Glasgow Apollo on their 1st UK tour so I thought I should maybe get to Know the songs....so I borrowed ATWAS and listened to it again & again in my bedroom.

It also says in Roadshow that even in the 70's when they would allow fans in at the end of the show to get autographs that he felt uneasy about it. that's just part of his personality, he's shy and awkward in the presence of strangers, just because your the Best Drummer in the World with one of the Best bands in the World doesn't make things like that any easier. I'd rather he was honest than be like some obnoxious f**k wits who put one album out & are so far up their own arses they think they're God!

But let's be honest, he's always been somewhat detached from public relations aspects from the beginning nothing new here. Ged & Alex don't have a problem with doing all the interviews so why should you? Try & be as supportive of Neil as they are. And if i'm not mistaken, is a meet & greet not about 30 seconds tops with no questions??

Seen Marillion a few times before and just after they 1st got signed. My mates ex's sister ued to go out with FISH, that's who "Script" was written about. Seen them on the first tour with Hogarth in the Barrowlands in Glasgow.

You make a lot of good points treken. I was one of the 1st people to see play in the UK at a half full Glasgow Apollo in 1977 and saw the every tour up to and inc the Hold Your fire tour. The release of a new LP was a major event and I purchased every album from AFTK up to G.U.P on the day of release but then they lost me. For that 10 or so years (@77-@87) I was a fanatic but unfortunately the music they started to produce didn't turn me on, Plus they stopped touring the UK. After a long break of even playing the old albums I started to listen to them again and fell in love with them all over again but the albums that left me flat still do I'm afraid. Iwas at R30 in Glasgow (2nd row) and will be at the S&A gig (2nd row again) LONG LIVE ......once a fan always a fan
