The headset thing is interesting. It would certainly give more creedence to the theory that everyone was having monitoring issues on Monday.

Yeah, there was an issue in The Camera Eye - it was right before the London part of the verse; somebody wanted to keep going with the main riff. Not sure who's fault it was, but I can actually kind of understand it because the arrangement was a bit weird; they were chopping a lot of things down and it was throwing everyone else off a bit too. Also, "Virtual Aimee" was triggered late on the first chorus of TSS.

I think they actually filmed last night's show too. Maybe they are doing both with the plan obviously being to get a comp of the two. I had a few d-bags around me tonight, unfortunately. Whatever you do, don't sit in Row 18 at Red Rocks unless you want to get beer spilled on you all night, because that's the fast track to your nearest Coors Light stand. I had one guy walk in front of me, stop, yell at his friend 50 feet away, walk in front of me again, stop, turn around, walk in front of me a third time, before finally going back to his damn seat. At this point, I just said "come on, man" and the moron grunted something at me before sitting down. Made it very hard to enjoy La Villa in the encore.

They were definitely filming tonight. Initially people were saying they were just going to do Wednesday night, but I think they filmed tonight as well.

Yep, few snafus early. When the video went out, the whole place did a collective "WTF". Geddy looked like he had some issues with the in-ears early; looked frustrated. All was soon forgotten from about Freewill onwards. Choked up at Subdivisions again... what can I say? My favorite band playing my favorite song in a place about as close to a slice of heaven as it gets. Can't say I dug the crowd. A little too inebriated at the end for my liking. Maybe I'm just getting old, but the fast track to the beer line seems to go right in front of me and I get tired of it very quickly.

There's a million of these. By-Tor & the Snowdog: The guitar chords at 1:36-1:50. Lakeside Park - the opening drum fill, which is the first fill I play on my drum kit during sounchecks at gigs (it uses the snare and all the toms). Cygnus X-1, Book II: Hemispheres. 2:35. Ding! La Villa Strangiato: Bass solo at 6:08, drum fill at 6:42 The Camera Eye - Guitar chords at 1:38-1:43 and similar. This is gonna send chills up and down my spine tomorrow night when I hear these played live for the first time. Subdivisions, 2:27 and 4:08 - that sprawling G chord resolving the synth lead breaks. Digital Man - drum fill at 4:35 and all the little Stewart Copeland-y stuff. The Weapon - three drum fills from 5:10-5:20, bringing out of guitar solo back into opening riff and into final chorus New World Man - the drum fills at 1:24 and 2:34 Big Money - drum fill at 1:15 Aimee Mann's laugh at the beginning of Force Ten. And right before that, that drum sample that sounds like someone dribbling a basketball in a huge gymnasium. Boom, BAFFFF, Boom Boom, BAFF. Boom, BAFF, Boom Boom. The piano bridge of Anagram (For Mongo). Cut to the Chase - 3:44 - that drum break towards the end which is mixed and panned all funny. The Hemispheres-like F# chord that punctuates Far Cry.

I'm going to enjoy my Rush show out here in Colorado tomorrow night even more, now that I've read this. Thank you for sharing!

Man that sucks.... I'm going to the OTHER Red Rocks show.

I actually think it is in the perfect place for me, because I will have 20 minutes to savor it when it ends, instead of having the next tune start right away. For someone with an emotional connection to that song, it is one that I will be very happy to absorb for a few minutes.

Was hoping to see the double-necks. Doesn't sound like they make an appearance this time.

You lost me at Subdivisions. A classic tune I never get tired of hearing. Now, if you just want more of Signals represented, well, I'm totally on that.

This will be my second Rush show at RR. The first one is my personal highlight, so I naturally have high expectations. I can't think of a better place to see them, to be honest.

I'm curious to know if Neil's French is good enough to have actually done that interview without a translator.

The Camera Eye, by a very wide margin. That's gonna be an almost religious experience. I'm actually quite excited about Presto... that was kind of the unexpected pleasant surprise of this tour so far. I've given the studio track a good workout this week and now I'm excited. And of course, Subdivisions. Never, ever gets old.

AK has always kind of got the rough end of the stick, it seems. As far as Signals goes, there are three or four tunes I actually prefer. But I like it very much and would much rather hear it over just about anything Counterparts and later, such is the strength of that album itself. I think it might be symptomatic of the under-representation of Signals in general that we've been getting the last few tours. One song on this tour. Now, for me Subdivisions is untouchable, but I can understand how some people might like to hear something else from that record. I think they should play ALL of it. For my money, I'd pay to hear THAT album performed entirely.

Consensus on tonight's show seems to say no rant.
