  1. QUOTE (Spoutnik @ Aug 19 2010, 09:35 AM) QUOTE (ominbnd @ Aug 19 2010, 02:03 AM)The train wreck was kind of funny. Neil was WAY out of sync at the end of TS. . NO!!! This is not neil it's Alex who make the mistake at the end of Tom Sawyer and again Alex make a very big mistake on the guitar solo You can watch those disaster ( ) here: After watching it a few times I think you're right. Everyone around me thought it was Neil too.
  2. QUOTE (southpaw2k5 @ Aug 19 2010, 08:39 AM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Aug 19 2010, 03:04 AM) I know for a fact that they filmed as we had to sign disclaimers. Were there big boom cameras swooping around and camera operators on the stage? If they were filming for a DVD, you would know for sure - there would be WAY more cameras than usually used just for the video boards during the show. There were no cameras like that. I didn't have to sign a disclaimer so I don't know what that's about. All in all, one of the best shows I've been to.
  3. QUOTE (Phantom @ Aug 19 2010, 01:40 AM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Aug 13 2010, 12:43 AM) I've known about this since May, the RR show on 8/18 will be filmed. Why am I spilling the beans now?...I think someone overheard me tell my friend today. I don't know anything about the 16th being filmed, but I was told by the promoter that the 18th would be filmed. It would make sense they would use both days but a friend who works at RR told me they would be taking down all their equipment after the show on the 16th and setting it all up again on the 18th. Look for me in the crowd...I'll be the one wearing the Rush shirt! was it filmed? I've never been to a show that was being taped, but I imagine the guys would have at least made some comment if was. They made no such comment. Too bad, because it was the buzz at the tailgate parties.
  4. The train wreck was kind of funny. Neil was WAY out of sync at the end of TS. Geddy walked over to Neil's riser to try and get him back in sync, at least that's what it looked like. The screen had a close-up of Neil laughing. It was at the very end of the song so it wasn't a big deal. Neil was wearing a big headset instead of the usual in-ear devices. Don't know why, doesn't really matter, but what was funny was that everytime the screen showed him, everyone could see two huge strips of duct tape holding the headset to his skull cap. Thought that was funny. There was no mention of the show being filmed. There were cameras, but I don't know if they were there to film or just used for the show. There were no more than Monday night that I saw. Alex and Geddy seemed to be having a lot more fun than Monday. Neil smiled a little more, and made a few funny faces that showed on the big screen. Overall, GREAT show.
  5. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Aug 16 2010, 07:30 PM) dang, didnt red rocks get cancelled 2 years ago because of rain? It was a cold and rainy that day, and they canceled based on the forecast. The weather at the proposed showtime ended up being OK, not ideal, but I guess the setup was the issue.
  6. Video issue, then Alex had some kind of guitar issue during the second song, but they hit their stride the rest of the show. Weather was perfect, crowd was GREAT, the guys . . . well, they still got it. 'Nuff said?
  7. QUOTE (daveyt @ Aug 16 2010, 09:56 AM) humidity 84% already? ew Click on "HOURLY" and it shows the humidity hour-by-hour. Supposed to drop a lot by showtime.

  9. QUOTE (Yokomori @ Aug 13 2010, 11:36 AM) Flying in from Ohio for Wed. show, 3rd row center !!!! I gotta' ask how you guys get those seats. I hit the "buy" button at midnight:01 the day they went on sale, and the best I could get was row 37.
  10. Only 4 and 6 nights to go!!!! Red Rocks Weather
  11. I've got two extra. My buddies can't make it. Row 48, seats 127 & 128. I'd like face value ($85 each), but will negotiate. PM me if you're interested. Red Rocks Seating Chart
  12. Exactly the problem I had at the KC show. I was off to one side and saw zero of the video.
  13. QUOTE (GeddyLeeRoth @ Jul 2 2010, 01:23 PM)OMFG dude, I was there and this is totally inaccurate. What, were you in the back by the concession stands or something? The crowd was great, and everyone whining about the smoke--seriously? The Boys are up there for three hours and you are complaining about not seeing them clearly for part of a few songs? I thought it was cool. Awesome show, and the songs from Moving Pictures were played with a renewed sense of purpose. TCE was spellbinding. The MP set surpassed my expectations. Far Cry sounded better than compared to both legs of S&A, IMO. Best stage set I've seen them ever have. They need to drop Faithless for...about any other song. I don't know if its worth mentioning, but Alex kind of stumbled on a few bars of La Villa, but I don't think most people caught it. Perfect show, perfect weather, perfect venue for this show, and once again--the crowd was participation was good, I'd give the crowd a B to B+. The Boys and A+. No sure that you're qualified to say my experience was inaccurate, but whatever works for you. I was at the left-hand side of the venue (I liked the venue, btw). The speakers did, except for small margins on the left and right, virtually completely cover the screens, fact--not inaccurate. Maybe it's a venue thing. I agree, the smoke thing was minor, but it WAS distracting. Other than that, we seem to agree on virtually everything else. I have tickets to 4 other shows and I ain't letting those tiny things stop me, whether they happen again or not. Overall, great show, "Dude!"
  14. I will admit that I had a bit of a "pre-cringe" before the high notes, but he nailed 'em. There seemed to be a lot more energy from the crowd during the second set. There were a few mis-timings by the boys, but who am i to judge, they still sounded great. I loved hearing a few songs that I've never heard live. The new releases were a great addition. Overall....despite some set-list issues (I won't bore you with my opinion), I can't wait for the next shows I have tickets for. Great to just see them play!!
