  1. how nice that Les and Geddy are polite to Dave by pretending he's their equal. Geddy has never struck me as a person who would put himself above another musician. At least publicly, he's always shown great respect for any other musicians he's around from what I've seen. So him treating Dave Matthews this way doesn't surprise me in the least.
  2. As someone else posted here (or maybe on Twitter): Neil Peart made tendonitis his bitch! :)
  3. So The Big Money may appear on this tour? Not according to what I heard. But I'll say this again... They busted out How It Is last night so anything can happen! Anything can happen...??? Even Prime Mover?????????????????????? More likely it will be "I think I'm Going Bald" :)
  4. Big thanks to Justin! My Dime account apparently expired and someone grabbed my username :( Now there's a waiting period before I can join torrents Bah!
  5. They surely wouldn't swap out Jacob's Ladder... I imagine the fans at the show that night would riot :)
  6. A young married couple in front of me didn't come back for the second set. I took their seats and put out enough energy for 3. Wonder if they are kicking themselves after missing the most epic of all second sets? :)
  7. Maybe he read the posts here about it :) *waves to Geddy*
  8. Like I said, it's Les Claypool from Primus Yep and it's a pig. Sorry, I meant pig mask - too little sleep Friday night :)
  9. It would be awesome if they played every single song they've ever written live over the course of this tour... imagine the compilation collection we could make from all the bootlegs :)
  10. Probably the length. They have so many songs and only around 2.5 hours (not counting intermission) or so to play them all in. Hard to pick a song that takes as long as this one, but yea, I'm surprised it's been so long since it was played.
  11. The crowd was showing plenty of love, believe me. :)
  12. I was in 9th row, dead center. Awesome seat. The camera was nothing fancy. Just a Nikon Coolpix. I put it in "sports continuous" mode and usually took 5-6 shots at once just hoping one would come out. The lighting at the show makes it hard, but I got a few good ones :)
  13. Yeah, I kept waiting for them to say "Oh well, let's just keep playing" and come out one more time.
  14. I was having a tough time getting a good pic of Alex. Either the lighting was off or someone stood up/raised their hand in front of me. I was happy with that one though :)
  15. That lighting was absolutely amazing.
  16. I stayed at the Hard Rock last night. Lots of Rush shirts both yesterday and today roaming around the hotel. As for the crowd, it was easily 95%+ full. There were a few empty seats here and there, but it was virtually full.
  17. I noticed this too. For one thing, it was ungodly hot in the arena. There were storms outside and the humidity was pretty high. I noticed all three of the guys were sweating a lot. That may have had something to do with it. He still played great, though. But yeah, he didn't seem his usual jovial self.
  18. First time using PhotoBucket... hope this works :) Here are some pics that I took last night that came out fairly well. I have a cheapie camera and with the lighting at the show it makes it tough. But hope you enjoy these! http://s300.photobuc...urnsks/library/
  19. Who was the guy in the dog(?) mask?
  20. As jane noted above, you can go here- https://mega.co.nz/#...3cHFRiXv-G3oIXg you don't need an account or anything, the FLAC files are all there for download, another TRF'er put them up today! Awesome, thanks!
  21. My Dime account seems to be messed up - won't take my password and won't let me recover it. Anyone had this problem? Wonder if someone hacked it and changed the email address :(
  22. I'm not that familiar with Periscope - is the stream still up for viewing?
  23. Hard to hear over the crowd but I thought he said something about thanks for 40 years, etc. I'll be looking for the inevitable bootleg to hear it for sure
  24. That 2nd set/encore was epic! Stuff I've never heard live, and it sounded great! Kind of funny, Geddy mentioned that they had never played Jacob's Ladder live, but it's on ESL :) I posted my full review in another thread, but this was easily the best show I've seen in the past 3-4 tours. The 1st set wasn't bad, just wish there'd been less CA on it. That 2nd set and encore was total awesomeness from start to finish.
  25. My quick review (spoilers of course) This was the best show I've seen from them in a couple of tours. The guys were playing hard and having fun and it was awesome to watch. I was in the 9th row, dead center. The format of the show worked well, starting off with the present and working backwards into the past, along with the roadies constantly changing the stage behind them. My only wish was that they wouldn't have played so many CA songs. Those were just featured on the last tour and i would have rather they cut one or two of them and added some older ones. I would have rather heard Between the Wheels, Camera Eye, or YYZ instead of Clockwork Angels, but that's the way it is. I would have even settled for BU2B, instead of CA as that song rocks live. Hearing some of the old songs live was awesome. Lakeside Park? Jacob's Ladder? Xanadu? Are you kidding me? Amazing! Hemispheres sounded great. Loved seeing the double-necks! The extra parts of 2112 that they played were great. The entire second set was total awesomeness. And nobody could convince me that Neil has tendonitis from the way he played. This was, IMO, the best drum solo in a few tours. Maybe because it was simpler, or maybe because it was opening night and he was fresh, but it sounded great. The videos were pretty good. Opening with a cartoon montage of how they had changed over the years was well done. The second set opened with bloopers from past videos, which were hilarious. That morphed into the South Park intro for Tom Sawyer. During Roll the Bones, the talking head rap video was replaced with celebrities doing the rap: Paul Rudd, Peter Dinklage, Jason Siegel, the Trailer Park Boys and a couple others. That was great. Eugene Levy's encore intro was hilarious, and as someone else mentioned, the gym backdrop during the encore looked perfect. My only complaint about the videos was that they were projected on a curtain in front of the screen. Those of us down front had to really look up to see them. Overall it was awesome! If this is indeed their final tour of this type, then they are going out on a massive high note. *edited to add more people in the RTB video I got a ton of pics. When I get home and can sort them out on my computer to see which ones look decent, I will post some.
