  1. Rush played 40 shows, half of what Bieber did who is 17th, doubling Rush's numbers to get 80 shows would put them just as good as Bieber if not better, without a new ablum to promote and the normal, "its only rush" thing
  2. Thanks, the Drum sticks are usually sold at Guitar Center and/or Sam Ash. I dont remember seeing sticks at the previous tour
  3. Looking online to make the "shopping list" for the show friday. I saw earlier in the tour they had the starman earings in gold or sliver. Now there not online anymore. Are they sold at the show? And is there anything not online thats sold or thats only sold online that is from the this tour?
  4. no, but watch a few videos of geddy lee from the moving pictures era, then watch Rio,r30 and such which is the "modern" geddy lee style. What how his right hand attacks the strings.
  5. Maybe this is a way for them to "implant" a new song in our heads? You know this could be a song from Clockwork Angels. Alex goes out plays a little thing on acoustic and were alike that was great, and in a few months when we listen to Clockwork when its released well be like "hey I've heard that before!, That was Alex's intro to Closer to the Heart!"
  6. QUOTE (ProfGumby @ Jul 23 2010, 06:48 PM) QUOTE (BL2112 @ Jul 23 2010, 02:49 PM) unless its like what an earlier poster said about Geddy talking his old jazz to the fender custom shop to have it scaned to have an exact replica of his bass. But if you can still see the pre production pics from John Arrowsmith's site you can see the screw holes from the bridge cover which is orginal jazz has and the fender customs do not. I still believe its the old bass with a new neck and pickguard. If he had the bass scanned, the new one would have wear and screw holes if that's what the custom shop was after.... This also might explain the difference in tone on this tour. Russ Ryan (Geddy's former bass tech) shared with us that Ged's old reliable had a different tone to it. And Russ revealed that the winding on the bridge pickup was broken and it has a lower output than a stock Fender. If this bass is a replica with a fully functioning bridge pickup, it would sound different. Again it would be nice to see something official in print or on video. I knew Geddy thought there was something wrong with the wiring on that bass, but did not know that. But maybe theyd break that pick up also just like relicing the body?

  8. its a fretless bass, the lines are for positioning. On a fretless the player "frets" where the fret should be instead of behind the fret like on a fretted bass
  9. those are fret markers, they are were the frets would be. My jazz has the same.
  10. check out some of the preproduction pics, you can see its the orginal body, its got the bridge cover screw holes which are not on the GL jazz thats sold. Unless they made him a relic
  11. didnt RIAB have something that Tampa's show was gonna be filmed?
  12. Interesting is that logo on Geddy's pickguard isnt on the clock from the single's artwork. And in the other picture of his headstock is me or is the black block on the first fret is missing?
