  1. QUOTE (Del_Duio @ Jun 29 2010, 11:22 PM) What's that guy hold stock in Laser Corp or something? LMAO!!!!!!!!!
  2. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jun 29 2010, 11:11 PM) How did "Caravan" sound? Any word? Did the crowd go nuts after the jam section? Yeah that jam section is bad ass! I'm as excited about those two new tracks as anything they are doing.
  3. I hope CTTH has the long jam section at the end!!
  4. QUOTE (farcryoverspilledmilk @ Jun 29 2010, 09:48 PM)QUOTE (trenken @ Jun 29 2010, 09:39 PM) QUOTE (duntov1966 @ Jun 29 2010, 09:36 PM) QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jun 29 2010, 09:32 PM) well sorry to say, but this is bullsh-t. About the only songs I want to hear are Marathon and Camera Eye. That's a bummer for you, that you only like two songs on the entire list, well you can get there late and leave early to beat the RUSH in to and out of the show. Its not about not liking any of the songs. I like many of them, but problem is ive seen them do 95% of these songs many times, and they are charging more for tickets this time around on top of it. I can just go watch my last 3 Rush DVDs and basically see this setlist aside from a few changes. Money saved, ill wait for the clockwork tour. Im not wasting my money on this. Love Rush, dont need to spend $150 to watch them play the same freaking songs again. True. If you add up Rush In Rio, R30, and Snakes and Arrows Live together you have about 5 different songs. Yay for $300.00 a ticket. I'm trying not to bitch but I totally agree with you. They were supposed to shake it up this time??? I've heard 90% of this stuff sooooo many times live. I still don't get it.....I realize Ged can't sing a lot of the early stuff....but at least they could do different cuts from PW, , Signals, GUP? Even the Working Man choice is puzzling to me. All of us long time Rush fans would probably like to hear ANY other song from that record besides Working Man. I've just heard it too many times. Same with Lavilla. I know it's a bad ass tune but it's taking up a slot that Jacobs could be filling. Alex should have never said anything about JL....I'll bet his JL comment alone is selling tons of tickets per night prior to this show....that's why we feel let down. I can see why those folks that haven't seen Rush live a ton over the last decade might be happy with this list.....but once again....where's the shake up? I'll still enjoy the show regardless....it's Rush c'mon.....but I can also see why the complainers are complaining...LOL!!!!!
  5. wow......in that pic anyone notice that Neils electronic side seems to be missing?........maybe something does rise up out of the stage? Weird.
  6. You think it's brutal here? Read the comments over at Counterparts. LOL!
  7. QUOTE (worthog @ Jun 28 2010, 09:01 PM) Where's Score Out when you need him...oh wait...you guys ran him away..... I sent FOH LIGHTS a pm but haven't got a reply.
  8. wow those are great......a few years before I became a mega fan:)
  9. TOO COOL!! Great Pic.....WELCOME TO THE BOARD Mike!!!!
  10. With all my complaining in this thread let me just add I'm psyched to hear those 2 new tracks. Love those songs and think they will be better live songs than the SnA material. Can't wait for the whole record. Bring back even more keys!!
  11. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Jun 28 2010, 08:30 PM) QUOTE (savagegrace26 @ Jun 28 2010, 08:25 PM) What I don't get is why they are calling this the 'Time Machine' tour. On the S&A tour they played 6 songs that either have never been played or haven't been played in a long while: - Mission - Entre Nous - Circumstances - Bangkok - Digital Man - Witch Hunt This tour we are only getting 4: - Presto - Marathon - Time Stand Still - The Camera Eye And aside from The Camera Eye, none of them are as old or as "coveted" some of the songs they brought out for the S&A tour. I really don't get it. I don't see this 'Time Machine'. Look closer. As I said a few minutes ago: Just 8 of the 26 tracks listed are post-1982, and even considering *that*, another three of them are from the 80's, more than 20 years ago and certainly qualifying as "old". 5 tracks out of 26 were recorded for Counterparts or later. Maybe so......but most of the old songs you speak of have been played to death......very few coveted or rarities here.....SnA tour had more is our point.

  13. QUOTE (Todem @ Jun 28 2010, 08:19 PM) For me it's really simple...I have seen every tour starting with Signals for the exception of the Power Windows Tour. I only need to see a few more songs live and my Rush tour life will be complete. My favorite Rush song is Jacobs Ladder. If they indeed omit this again even after Alex flat out said they are bringing it back for this tour is just a major letdown....I mean major. I am very excited to see Presto, Time Stand Still, Faithless and Marathon. TCE is also going to be a major treat. But I am not one of those long time hard cores who has been pining for TCE...I have been pining for Jacobs Ladder which is but all accounts at least to my ears a quisesential classic epic frrom Rush. I expected a more EPIC setlist for the Time Machine Tour. It really is only JL I am big time upset about and they are playing Stick it Out which is a very weak Rush song...I mean really man..that is just bullshit that tune.....plug in The Analog Kid Red Sector A Even friggin Dreamline or another standard like The Trees or Force 10...anything but that hunk of shit. Other than that is is a good set list and I am sure it will all sound great...plus we are getting the 2 new tunes, La Villa, 2112....which always rocks. It's good...it's setting in that it's going to be a great show.....but please...I hope they are holding back Jacobs Ladder till tomorrow night! I have one more day of hope. Agree totally. See my above post. Plus on paper Jacobs Ladder should be one of the easiest to sing. Almost like a break for Geds voice. I thought it was a no brainer for the band to play it this time:(
  14. I respect your opinion but I kinda like the rant. Only if he changes it up a lot though. Personally I wish they would replace the Song with Jacobs Ladder.
  15. If Jacob's Ladder really is missing it is quite puzzling to me. It has got to be one of the easier songs vocally for Geddy. Vocals are low register compared to other Rush stuff. If they think it's too long at least they could trim it down a little. I think a lot of people bought tickets thinking this song was a definite in the set list. I know I did. It's the song I've been wanting the most for the last decade. If they don't play it I wish Alex would have never spoke up about it.
  16. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Jun 28 2010, 06:59 PM) QUOTE (presto123 @ Jun 28 2010, 04:56 PM) I've heard Working Man and Lavilla far too many times. La Villa and Working Man are not the problems with this set. Just sayin......there is a lot of early material to pick from that they haven't played to death. And I agree with what was posted earlier.....the SnA Tour was more of a Time Machine than this set list.
  17. QUOTE (theoriginalfuzz @ Jun 28 2010, 06:52 PM) What I don't get is why they even bother playing ANY S&A tunes at ALL (aside from maybe Far Cry). Personally, I think it's one of their worst albums ever... plus, they just played all that stuff last time out (well, except for Faithless). But seriously, I really wish they would've taken out the S & A tunes altogether and gone with some better "vault" choices... ...if, of course, this is indeed the setlist... which I'm kind of hoping it's not. At the very least, add a few more gems from the vault and REALLY blow our minds. I am, however, interested in TSS, Presto, Marathon... that should be cool! And of course, Camera Eye will rule. But yeah, it does seem like a strange set. Sort of anti-climatic. Anti-climatic is perfect. With all the build-up it's just like meh. Sure there are a few gems on there for me. Marathon, Time Stand Still, and Presto are OK in my book. But where is GUP and T4E and any early stuff that hasn't been played before? I've heard Working Man and Lavilla far too many times.
  18. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Jun 28 2010, 06:49 PM) Oh, I really wanted to hear "Driven". I would really love Time And Motion. Still time for the guys to read this board and re-insert Jacobs Ladder back into the set. ARE YOU LISTENING GUYS????? LOL!!
  19. QUOTE (theworkingman @ Jun 28 2010, 06:41 PM) Spirit of Radio into Time Stand Still is going to be great. Don't get me wrong it has its moments......but too many momentum killer moments as well......3 "religion" songs in a row????
  20. QUOTE (Todem @ Jun 28 2010, 06:35 PM) This is not it. This is not what? The right set list?
  21. You people that are stoked about the set list probably haven't seen the band very many times.....these sets just are not drastically different from the songs they have been playing live over the past three or four tours. We were lead to believe they would really dig deep into the vaults on this tour. They must have been digging with a spoon. I've seen them live every tour since the 80's and I was really hoping for some shockers in the set list. Jacobs Ladder bare minimum.
  22. QUOTE (ZachenFoot @ Jun 28 2010, 05:41 PM) I'm hoping nobody spoils in here. My show is in a week and I'm avoiding the setlist. I already saw more than I needed to in presto123's thread and don't want to see ONE MORE THING. (note, in no way is that your fault, presto123). Stay out of these threads then:)
  23. QUOTE (tangy @ Jun 28 2010, 05:39 PM) If they had a stop in my homestate I would attend. As it stands I don't think I will be making that trip down to ATL. So Presto is the most rare song they are going to break out? Ouch. Seems they could of tried a little harder. My thoughts exactly
  24. Did you not see my thread in the Rush forum? Don't look at it now though........some idiot posted spoilers in there......I'd say slightly disappointed if it's true...
