  3. Draw the Line and the debut are the weakest 1970s albums, by far.
  4. No matter which albums "wins" I think this ranking is pretty spot on.
  5. I really like L.A. Woman. The fact that it is the Doors' most blues based album is why it's so consistently good to my ears. It rocks and it's atmospheric. Excellent album. My favorite Doors album is probably Strange Days, but the debut is probably their best despite its 45 minute run time wearing out its welcome.
  6. The good ol' it's too commercial critique. "Love Her Madly" is a wonderful song.
  7. If The Shit Parade gets voted out the cream of the crop remains. Now we're talking...

  9. The Soft Parade makes me want to rip my ear off. Nothing is as bad as pretentious, poorly arranged lounge music. Now, now, don't be so hard on McCartney. :P Did I mention McCartney? I don't think so.

  11. I like that you acknowledged the bottom of the barrel. How they continued without Morrison is a head scratcher. Contractual obligations?

  14. Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You [9/10] This group of songs will one day be considered one of the greatest double albums of all-time. Adrianne Lenker is a brilliant songwriter.

  16. You're the only one I've heard say they don't enjoy it, but perhaps there are others around here who just haven't mentioned it. I forget, are you into much other prog? There's a sorta similar (though not at all the same) a capella and flute break in My God by Jethro Tull. Have you heard that song, do you like it? I love a lot of prog. I hate the vocal canon. It goes on and on and gets more annoying as it goes. My ears can't stand it!!!
  17. Am I the only one here who can't stand "The Prophet's Song"? It irritates me to no end.
