  1. Well, the truth be told, some people can actually just do it without thinking!
  2. QUOTE (Analog Kelly @ Jul 2 2007, 03:13 PM) A few days ago I started reading "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. It's the about power of thinking without thinking. I couldn't finish. Interestingly enough, all I could think about was Rush, so I went to the local Barnes and Noble today and picked up a copy of "Roadshow." So I guess I already now how to think without thinking I know what you mean. Rush can be very side-tracking.

This appears to be the "in" thang. Do I have to kill someone to qualify? No! Just keep posting. We bestow member titles after we get a good handle on who you are and what your personality is like. That must make it tough for enigmas like me That doesn't give me any hope. I'll be the Subdivisions girl forever, never cool, always cast out. Do they have a thumb sucking emotion?? How about the thumb sucking girl! Oral Fixation! Something like that, I guess ... How about an emotion bitch-slapping another emotion?

My daughter at Alki beach in West Seattle the other day for example. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k244/LadyApril_2006/family/EmmyII.jpg This one, she exploring the Puget Sound from Edmonds beach. I love how the water creats the full backdrop.

Archaeology is a secret passion. well ... not any more now eh? I like archaeology too. What would could be cooler than discovering some part of history that has been lost for centuries or even thousands of years? I know, that would be awesome! When I was a kid I was exploring a local creek and found an Indian spearhead on a sand bar. I showed it to my science techer and he contacted the local University and told them about it. They sent a team and I got to guide them to where I found the spearhead. They searched for the better part of a day (they even let me help!) and didn't find any other artifacts so they reasoned that the spearhead must have washed down from further upstream. They asked if I would mind donating the spearhead for study, and I said yes. It was tough for a 13 year old kid because it was a really neat artifact. My parents assured me that I'd done the right thing, so that's cool. That's so cool! I'd love to be involved in a dig. I've never been lucky enough to find anything myself but I would like to one day. I think you did the right thing giving up your spearhead I'm still looking for gold wouldn't it be cool if we found some in the smugglers cove this holiday? Ya know, the issue of Current World Archaeology that I am currently reading, No. 22, boasts the cover with the story of Howard Carter who was actually the man who uncovered Tutankhamun's tomb. You should see some of the shit they pulled out of that place. Although I bought the mag for the bottom artical on the cover on a theory of the fall of the Mayan empire based on a dig down in Belize. The article on Carter is fascinating in that he was just a kid who ended up going doing down to Egypt with a crew just cause he knew how to draw. You should have stayed in with the University Huck! Stayed on top of em. What I wouldn't give for an opportunity

I became sigh-heavy and had to shoot it. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k244/LadyApril_2006/scenic/crazymoonI.jpg This was from my back yard the other night. Water tower was in my way on the right but being overcome with Song Remains the Same-ish beautiful, lorish and creepy feelings this full moon was too cool to pass up.

Unless, of course, you've mastered fusion and can bolt from this entire system What's up with the constant ? So It is my favourite emotion. So naa!

I've actually known about this since about 1987, but I never in my wildest dreams thought it would become information that would be so public as it's becoming. That said, I don't believe for a second it's the "end of the world", but it will be of great significance. Things have already started to change, intensify and speed up and it will continue to accelerate. It's gonna make the social change in the 60's look small in comparison. This truly is the dawning of the age of Aquarius. I understand it's something that will be met by great skepticism by many, but that's cool. Talk to me in 5 years and we'll see if you're still skeptical. Not the end of the world, but a mass evolution of consciousness. I just saw what looked like a GREAT book on the subject called The Mayan Code that just came out. I wanted to buy it, but didn't feel like shelling out the $18 at that moment. Wait a minute. It's going to be a "mass evolution of consciousness, etc." and you didn't want to shell out a measely 18 bucks?!! Me buying the book or not won't change the course of history. Really?! I thought it would. You know what I meant. If not then: if something of such monumental importance is going to happen, wouldn't you want to read more up on it? I totally do want to read up more about it, but I'll wait till fundage is more plentiful. The book will still be there. There's always the 'ol "requesting it through the library" trick. Very true, but the Ashland library is temporary closed (long painful story). This is the book I'm referring to: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f72/rushgoober5/rushgoober6/mayan.jpg Amazon - The Mayan Code Thanks Gooby, you're awesome. That doeth sucketh about the Ashland library I could lend you my little books
