My uncle travels the world as a yoga instructor, and I asked him to show me a technique recently, and it was both breath-focused and had a mantra. He said he had the authority to give me a personal mantra if I wanted as well... It's very interesting stuff that I'm just starting to look into.

I played movement 2 of Henri Tomasi's Concerto for Trumpet for Tine Thing Helseth in a masterclass at my university today. In case you're not familiar, Tine Thing Helseth is a famous trumpet soloist from Norway, who got her start by winning 2nd place at the Eurovision contest in 2007, and has worked her way up to playing gigs like the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2007, and has played Carnegie Hall and the works.
