All I hope is for at least one more album instead of letting Neil's retirement be Rush's ultimate future. As much as I deeply respect Neil since he is my favorite drummer and my hero, my respect for him is somewhat slipping away because his retirement just set off a domino effect of Rush's career going down the tubes in terms of what the future holds. Neil has a second chance at family life after not being there much for his first family due to touring and then the demise of that family. How selfish would we be to ask for more? Btw, I don’t think they can make money on an album so, as much as I wouldn’t mind new music, it doesn’t make sense to record and not tour. They’re not going to spend months working on something to hopefully break even.

I see your point but their race does play a big part in it. If this was just two random white metal heads talking about these songs, I don't think it would be aware near as interesting. But two black guys whose main genre is hip hop with very little metal exposure analyzing metal songs they're hearing for the first time does have an appeal. But what I wanna know is who are the idiots that suggested to them that Caught In A Mosh should be the Anthrax song they should listen to? Nothing against it but there's plenty of better classic Anthrax that fans could have suggested. You failed to comprehend the point. They DONT NORMALLY LISTEN TO METAL so two white metal heads dont compare to these guys since they would already know and be fans. The whole point is that they don’t really know the music and it’s a pure reaction. You can find two old white guys that still listen to Sinatra and get their pure reactions as well. These guys are good because of their personalities and their insightful comments and obvious love of music that makes you feel something. So, the thing that makes it work is them not the fact that they’re black but that they have something to say. I’ve been following them for some time, btw.

Btw, they’re not worth watching because they’re “two black guys” but two smart guys that are open minded but don’t normally listen to metal music. Being Black really has nothing to do with it.

I doubt it. She’s not well thought of these days. I doubt many would admit to owning her books for fear of being called a fascist. It is the insult du jour. Ayn Rand could not be further from fascism. As someone who identifies with that term, I can speak with others that her views on Objectives are far from any fascist thought. That said, Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead are interesting to read from an objective (no pun intended) perspective. As for English teachers not knowing her, I'd say that's a far cry. Maybe haven't read her, but definitely know her. I'm sure not every teacher has read War & Peace or Anna Karenina but know who Tolstoy is. I didn’t say she was a fascist. Apparently you’re unaware that many people have accused her and people who enjoy her philosophy as fascists. My point is that, in certain quarters, any connection to her or her writings can get you accused of being a fascist. Rush and Neil in particular have been accused of being fascist due to songs like anthem and 2112. I’m surprised you don’t already know this. The irony being Geddy’s families history in Europe during the war.

Their music is obviously very influenced by rock, jazz, and r&b and can give an impression of being haughty. However, their lyrics are totally subversive and these guys have a very against the grain way of doing things. Seems right up your alley really. I love everything about them and they are one of my favorite bands.

I tried watching that but didn’t make it far. Surprising how bad Chris Jericho is as a host since he’s good on the mic during wrestling promos. Who was the female singing duet with halford at beginning? Her voice was weird at lower pitches but really good singing higher

Hopefully he laid to rest anyone’s hopes of a reunion tour. He’s not even releasing his book for a year. If anything, it sounds like he will record something but not as rush. I enjoyed the history of his family. Although, I knew most of the info it was still powerful to hear.

The loss to BUF was solely on the defense! The offense did it's part even though it did sputter here and there. There is talk from the media ( even asked about in a Cutter presser) if the problem stemmed from "too much rap music & ping pong" in the locker room instead of game prep. I know it sounds profile oriented but it may have some merrit! Go Bucs :madra: I think they spend too much time talking about how they’re leaders and how “great” they are instead of holding each other accountable for their jobs. That’s leadership, not giving speeches.
