A Touch of Evil - Great movie. Very claustrophobic.

What about The Beatles or Led Zeppelin?? I like and listen to both of those bands. But they are not in this poll, so why you ask? Because they are good, but still more overrated than The Rolling Stones. Beatles and Zep over rated?? Insanity. They are the 2 best bands of the rock era. Hands down. End of discussion. I think they are amazing bands, but they are way to overplayed, way more than The Rolling Stones imo. And what number determines "overplayed"? The songs from these two groups are played more than probably every other band/musician for a reason. People want to hear the songs from the Beatles and Zep. So should we the listening public be subjected to hearing shitty music from shitty bands instead of hearing a great tune from Zep or the Beatles. I think not!

The 80's album matchup: Appetite for Destruction vs 1984?
Mithrandir replied to Texas King's topic in Music Of The Spheres
I agree to a point about Appetite. But it is MUCH more than culturally impactful. The album is filled with great riffs, melodies---great songs! I think that Axl's attitude has led to a blowback against GnR and subsequently people dismissing Appetite for less than it is. It is a MONSTER of an album. I could not agree with you more. Axl pretty much defines "d*ckhead rock star." But in 1988 and 1989, on the strength of Appetite and Lies, GNR were pretty much viewed as hard rock's saviors. It's no coincidence Slash solo live pulled most of his GNR tunes from Appetite. I saw them open for Aerosmith in 1988 or 1989 at Great Woods. They blew them away. I still love that album. It really was much different than the Crues, Leppards and Ratts of the world. If that album came out in 1981, it probably wouldn't have blown up quite as much. Who knows? I get what you are saying, but its pointless. The album just kills it and would have been mega successful at any time. -

In Troy?? What is the venue for that one? Hobart Arena. Cool...honestly, I didn't know that place was still open. I live about 20-30 miles from there. Maybe you should google it! :)

Santana 3 is among my all time favorite albums Abraxas is an awesome album Debut is fantastic. Caravanserai is ok. I love many other songs from Carlos, but have no other albums. I saw them for the Shango tour. Don't remember that much of it though. Just too long ago.

Stones by a wide margin for me. I never really got into Bowie beyond some of his hits.

Dog Years and Second Nature are my favorites on their respective albums. Speed of Love is my 2nd favorite on Counterparts.
