Rush 50 (Anniversary Super Deluxe) Listing Now on Apple Music
Brava Doh! replied to napoleonj's topic in Rush
Night One of that double shot they filmed was wrought with technical issues (including a complete bass fail on IIRC Headlong Flight while Geddy was playing that saw him just stop and hold his bass out with one hand until someone came and gave him another one), so I would guess that in some cases where the songs from both nights were the same (setlist changed some between shows of course), Night 2 took precedence for the release even if Geddy's vocals were rougher. Just a theory, everyone's mileage varies on how Geddy sounded on that tour in general. I thought it was fine but I don't dwell on it and compare it to other tours and such...that's just me. -
Great looking stuff, nice work!

As a long time wrestling tape trader, we used to have guys pop up every once in a while and say "Hey, I have this footage of the Last Battle of Atlanta. Is it rare or something? I'll upload it for you all to look at soon." (Last Battle was the most sought after wresting footage ever at the time, for context. Nobody could even confirm it was filmed). Threads would develop like this one did, and the inevitable conclusion was the guy just faded away, probably having a good laugh. This happened for a good 20 years, a few times every couple of years or so. Bright side: The Last Battle footage was actually found a few years ago in the WWE vault. :) Something appearing from Rush like that could happen some day...the impossible appearance of LBOA taught me never to give up hope on footage or audio "lost to time" or "never recorded".

My point exactly. If they come "you were right". If they don't, you're gone. Win-win for you, I guess?

It's the second one but it's win win for this guy, if nothing happens he disappears and if something happens he says "see?"

Signals 40th Super Deluxe Edition Announced - but no live material?
Brava Doh! replied to OneZeroZero's topic in Rush
If the sales were low-low, they may notice that, and either (a) rethink their approach and figure out that no new live material was the culprit, for the most part, or (b) decide that these aren't worth doing anymore and that's that. Probably the second one, unfortunately. -
I want him to be wrong wrong wrong but I also tend to lean towards what GhostRider has written above. Unfortunate, but likely accurate.

Which RUSH Album Cover Or Logo Would You Have As A Tattoo?
Brava Doh! replied to g under p's topic in Rush
If I was getting a Rush tattoo I'd go with the three wishbones on the Roll the Bones Cover...it's either on the back cover or on the inside, I don't remember. -
That's what the ESL Live video ended on, and it worked great. It can definitely work.

Renfeld has more screen time than Cage, by my recollection. I had no expectations going into this, my granddaughters wanted me to take them, and I laughed my ass off and was entertained plenty. Thumbs up from me!

Another beauty! Thanks

Yeah.

I always assumed they did two or three takes for Count Floyd's intro to that song, and they just used them all.

Signals 40th Super Deluxe Edition Announced - but no live material?
Brava Doh! replied to OneZeroZero's topic in Rush
I think it was a simple as those releasing the box set were lazy as F and miscalculated on how much the Live releases mean to those of us still interested enough in buying them. I won't be getting this, and I'm annoyed as all hell they left out something...ANYTHING...live. -
Fantastic! Always loved those little things he finds, and he's always made it so convenient to have them all in one place.

S&A SPOILER--Official Announcement...
Brava Doh! replied to Cygnus The God Of Balance's topic in Rush
I remember the excitement of getting the new Rush. I was in the Minneapolis airport. Felt a little guilty getting the 'pirated' version but not really as I knew I was gonna be buying it on cd anyways. That was always the part that made it fine for me too, I knew I was going to buy it on release day, so grabbing pirated/shared songs and snippets beforehand was perfectly ok for me. -
Yeah I could. I don't get why Vital Signs wasn't blocked, but this one is. ...and why block it? anyone tuned into this project's release at this point is buying it even if they put 90 percent of the concert on youtube.

**Video not available in my country** I'm in Canada FFS....unreal

So how quick is the 3 cd edition actually gonna ship to people? The shipping options are 7-21 days for 13 bucks additional and 60 bucks for 4-5 day delivery? WTF Ridiculous

So how much different will this Blu Ray Audio be from the 30th anniversary version? I'm interested in that if it's going to be different somehow, but the rest of the stuff outside the new concert isn't a big deal for me. If it's realy going to be that different and that's the only way to get it though...sigh
