Kind of an odd request, but I figured I'd give it a try. Does anybody here have any 8mm or other film footage of Rush that you're willing to sell or trade for? I've been scouring the Internet for leads surrounding people who might have any footage. I am most interested in footage from the mid 1970's, but I will buy any footage that is offered. I hope to have the footage digitized and synced to sound before being publicized online. Please leave a reply or pm me if you have any offers you'd like to arrange or if you happen to know anybody that does have footage that would be willing to talk. Thanks!

He probably means the Bootleg recording of the show. A taper filmed one of the Auburn Hills shows and that exists online.

Nobody knows for sure where the Auburn Hills footage is. Allegedly it was filmed by Anthem (or so I've heard) but no full copy is circulating anywhere. Currently a very small snippet of the Soundcheck and concert are all that are publicly available. I've also heard that Irvine was filmed but I don't have any more info regarding that show. A European Roll The Bones show was also at least partially filmed. Footage from the Cologne, Germany show exists online.

Yes Hartford was the first show of the Vapor Trails Tour and the first show in 5 years.

The bass didn’t sound great in any of the available audio boots of this show. We used 2 different audio sources (Celebrate The Moment, Ceddy’s Hartford) in a matrix to try to have a more dynamic sound, but it only had a marginal effect. That being said, it is huge improvement over the original camcorder audio.

Making this thread to post all of the songs that have been remastered so far. Been working with Stickhits to release these songs and really happy with how they've turned out so far. Will update as more gets released. Hope you guys enjoy!

Here's an audio recording of Rush on ABC's In Concert On October 11th, 1974, The show was not broadcast until December 6th of that year though. The performance was filmed at the Aquarius Theater In Los Angeles. Besides the audio, nothing else from this performance has materialized. This is probably a long shot, but does anybody know any old school traders or someone who might potentially own a copy of the footage? I have searched on and off for this footage for months to no avail. What's strange too is that other band's from that show exist online already, but Rush does not. A company called Historic Films has a tape of this broadcast listed as being in their archives, but Rush is not listed in the description, and they do not sell tapes or digital recordings for anything other than professional use. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Audio Recording: Here's some other stuff I was able to dig up. Copy and pasted from my Reddit Post a while back. He’s killing it with the remasters, as usual. He’s a really cool guy too, we have a project we’re working on together right now, stay tuned for that also.

"Okay kids, it's time for (even more *new* 8mm footage)...."

For what it’s worth an audio sync is being worked on right now. I don’t want to spoil much but a preview is available on my and my buddy’s social media page who is one of the people working on the sync. You can check out a small preview here. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwtiVc5sztOMNLFuZKKW9lViAF39FM0HVFLYwU0/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== -
Help Needed: Searching for lost Signals 1983 8mm footage
TheGhostRider replied to TheGhostRider's topic in Rush
Update: After digging around we found the the 8mm footage. Turns out a copy was sitting on an old phone. We still don’t know who filmed it or where it was filmed but it’s now found and uploaded on YouTube again.- 1 reply

Posting this to try and help out a friend. A small group of us separate from the forum gotten very serious about tracking down and preserving Rush audio and video recordings. About 7 years ago a friend screen recorded a low quality video of the New World Tour shot on 8mm film. The video has since disappeared from YouTube. The only copy we have right now is badly cropped and watermarked. I think it's a long shot but does anybody recognize this footage and recall the show or maybe even the uploader? Would make him really happy to track down this piece of lost footage.

The Rise of Kings 1968-1981 - Necromancer Video? - Help Needed

The clip of the movie? I just googled the guy’s name from the Documentary and a link to a Wikipedia page about the movie popped up. Then I found a link to the movie on YouTube and just skimmed through until I found the clip. Wasn’t hard honestly. -
The Rise of Kings 1968-1981 - Necromancer Video? - Help Needed

Found the documentary on Tubi. The Necromancer scene is a clip from a movie. It's from a Italian Sci-Fi movie called "The Visitor" from 1979. The documentary just used a short clip of it to pair with the music. The clip shown in the documentary shows up in the movie at 3:45. I found it by googling the name credited on the clip. The director named Giulio Paradisi was credited in the documentary. (Full Movie Here) -
Yeah the audio was taken from the All The World's A stage live album. No audio from the Oshawa show exists. The audio matches perfectly with the sync though which is rare and uncommon. Most audio syncs of silent footage like this don't turn out this good. The guy who filmed this footage Jim Kelly (Speedy) captured a lot of footage which made syncing it much easier for the people who worked on the film.

Not sure if that's legit or not, but it looks cool! I have an old newspaper ad for Permanent Waves hanging in my room. It was expertly cut out of an issue from Melody Maker magazine and then I bought it on Ebay.

Signals 40th Super Deluxe Edition Announced - but no live material?
TheGhostRider replied to OneZeroZero's topic in Rush
From what I understand the band has very little involvement in the new releases. They essentially just sign off saying that they approve the upcoming release and that it's okay to move forward. -
Signals 40th Super Deluxe Edition Announced - but no live material?
TheGhostRider replied to OneZeroZero's topic in Rush
Pretty disappointing to not get live material. Signals is such a fantastic album and really deserved a live release. There's no way that they don't have some live material in the vaults. Sad that it will probably rot before a release can ever happen. -
The audio in the video has been mixed and adjusted heavily thanks to Stickhits. We used a variety of different external audio sources because we felt the camera audio wasn't great and it would have required a lot of extra work to fix. I resynced the audio to the video for the songs. It was a big collaborative effort and probably the most fun I've had doing a project in a while

A very special thanks to 78Jazz for sending me the footage. It has finally been unearthed as a result. Working with my good friend StickHits to restore all of the footage to a more watchable state. Wanted to share it with you guys first since I would have never been able to do the project to begin without the Forum. Please check it out and stay tuned to see more songs uploaded.

Tom Sizemore died 3 days ago after being a in a coma for 2 weeks after a brain aneurysm. He was 61 years old. The cause of the aneurysm was not disclosed but its suspected to be a result of his lifelong struggle with substance and drug abuse. He was great in Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down, and many other movies. Gone too soon. https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2023/03/03/tom-sizemore-saving-private-ryan-star-dead-at-61/11301891002/
