  1. I hope this is pure humor and not cynicism. I just discovered these guys 2 years ago, their visit in Bristow, Va was my first Rush show. After hearing the talk of these rumors turned confirmed facts about retirement, I am a bit depressed myself. But considered 41 years of drug free, noble and honest rock and roll these guys have deserved their retirement. Give em a break, they're at the normal retirement age. Regardless of how much they've affected and touched our lives, let them rest, THEY'VE EARNED IT!!!
  2. You're looking at $40-45 dollars for a simpler tour shirt. I saw a starman hoody for $100, and a Rush baseball jacket for like $600
  3. Rush is so important to me that if I don't indulge after a few days then I'll end up going through withdrawals.
  4. It's no secret I love rush. I have no problem driving through town listening to Emotion Detector or Chemistry and just crack a smile and wave when I get weird looks.
  5. I'd have to agree. Before I discovered Rush I was in a pretty bad place in my life. All I listened to was Heavy Metal which perpetuated my feelings of hatred for everything around me and I was pretty much a shut in who shunned anyone who attempted to get close to me. In all honestly after a year of listening to their albums nonstop I've started making pretty big transformations in my life... Its part of what connects me to these guys and their music in such an intense way.
  6. In Bristow Va, he said "Thank you very much, We hope to see you again in a couple of years". I'm hoping so aswell. Just recently became a die-hard fan here in the past couple years and knowing I may never them again has had me depressed since I got home Sunday morning.
  7. I was also hoping for New World Man, but I really got my hopes up for La Villa Strangiato.
  8. Had an amazing time. I agree with the crowd being dead, I was up in the lawn and the amount of dirty looks I was getting for enjoying myself and singing along to every song was bit a downer. I mean we all came here to have a good time, didn't we? On the other hand the venue seemed to be pretty well laid out, I was a bit bummed when I could only afford lawn tickets, especially after spending so much time at the the Va Beach Amphitheater in my teenage years and not being able to see anything short of a spec. Ended up with a great view and got some good footage to stow away and look at whenever I want. https://plus.google.com/photos/110547620741825950377/albums/6155125997325247601/6155125996113588002?authkey=CP2wuPS8md_A6AE&pid=6155125996113588002&oid=110547620741825950377
  9. After seeing the show in Bristow last night and this being my first Rush show, I can honestly say reading this thread along with other tidbits I've found on the edges of google searches I'm really feeling somewhat sad a depressed. I discovered theses guys basically on accident after deciding to pick up a few albums for singles I liked such as Closer to the Heart and Fly by Night. Next thing I know I'm on this never ending rush bender consuming one album after the next in no particular order, literally with them transforming into my all time favorite group. My friends got endless videos and the entire time I was either singling along or grinning ear to with this glint in my eye. After hearing all the Rush vets basically say it's pretty much over I'm left feeling a bit empty inside. I'm hoping I can catch at least one more show before they call it quits.
