I also agree that is it not a disease. It is caused by something we put into our bodies, which if we choose we can stop. It is definately addictive much like cigarettes or sugar.. But these things are not diseases, they are more a behavior disorder. Stop the behavior and the problem will go away. My father may or may not be an alcoholic, I'm not sure. All I know is that when he has been drinking he is a totally different person. He says and does things which he denies later and he can get extremely mean. I don't have a great relationship with him to begin with, so when he drinks it makes it that much harder.

I watched Boston Legal for the first time last night. I had heard it was great and funny as sh*t.. And I was not disappointed.. Absolute great show! Great writing, great one liners, incredibly funny! If you missed it, here's a teaser... James Spader (dressed as Candace Bergin) dancing with William Shatner while drinking scotch and smoking cigars!

Yep, Fish's first solo album was pretty good, but it's the only one I enjoyed. Kudzu, I'm glad you are enjoying your Marillion journey. I also really love Anaraknaphobia (or however you spell it).. That album really grows on you and gets better and better over time. New album out in April!!!!

The only thing I know about Grendel is that Fish wrote a song about the story for Marillion in the early 80's.. (It's simply called "Grendel") The song is a 17 minute prog-rock masterpiece.. IMO The song was actually recorded before they released their first album in 1983. So it was difficult to find for a long time (unless you live in Europe/UK). They released it on their 1988 release "Besides Themselves" and it now also is included in their remastered 2 disc release of their first album "Script for a Jester's Tear". If you like the story and you like progressive rock, you'll love this song. I. I actually watched this for the first time a few nights ago... Yes, it's very dated. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I saw it when it first came out. Over all, it was pretty lame.. Just a couple of really funny parts... I like the scene in the car at the beginning when he puts in "Bohemian Rhapsody".. and the monkeys flying out of my ass ... Other than that it was lame.
