  5. Its in the upper middle for me. Not a bad record by any stretch just no their strongest. It was the first album released after I becamea Fan and It was the first cd i ever bought. I still own that same Mercury cd. I loved it a lot but hasnt aged well. I listen to Open Secrets a lot though. Top track for me.
  6. No. First couple of records yes but after Crash no thank you.
  7. RTB feels like the only album where they purposefully put filler on. This, FU (haha) and YBYL feel to me like they had nothing else in the tank. A shame cuz there are really great tunes here. I dont know what else they were trying to prove.
  8. It took me a while to get into but for me its a very sid to spectacular album. The only song I dont like is Bravest Face. I still dont hate it as much as I hate Virtuality but rhe chorus is too weak. It doesnt embarass me completely tho and my son gets mad when i skip it so there we go :)
  9. I'm not in love ( but dont forget it. Its just a silly phase im going thru) with MMT even though its one of the first Beatles albums i owned. I really see it as a clear dividing point between the middle period and the later period. Each album from Hard Days Night to Sgt Peppers and then White Album thru Let It Be defining a clear progression one way or the other. If fhat makes sense in A nutshell.

  13. Hemispheres is so much better than Vapor Trails it isn't even a contest. Tell that to G Under P who ranks Vapor Trails above Hemispheres. :o There should be an app for this.
  14. Hell yes!!! I saw the VAN HALEN 3 Tour with Gary Cherone and they opened their set with "Mean Street" and it still fuckking ruled!!!! The only other highlight of the night was when Gary went backstage to do a wardrobe change and Michael Anthony took over lead vocals on "Somebody Get Me A Doctor." I had chills. I was thinking that Van Halen should have just been a three piece from then on! LOL! Gary was awful! I never saw them on that tour but I heard how horrible it was. I don't know what they were smoking when they picked him but it must've been some strong stuff. You can ask Ray Danniels.
  15. ESL is an actual live albums. With sides. Had to go purist and vote ESL
  16. At first i voted CTTC but realized WMT is clearly he best teack. Though On a rainy day I could have voted for BTSAM as well. Comparatively weak chorus. I also have a soft spot for Cold Fire. Kinda chilling considering...
  17. Chain Lightning. The greatest song Rush has never played live.
  18. Lock and Key. Though on a different day it could be Open Secrets.
  19. Marathon?? Really? This must be...is this a Rush site or what??
  20. Red Barchetta just barely beats out TCE. Side 1 has to be the perfect lp side of music. Nor a note wasted.
  21. The music is all decent but FU, TBW and YBYL are three of the worst songs they ever wrote. The whole album gets a 6/10 rating (weighted TYVM) making it one of the 3 worst studio records in the catalog.
  22. If you dig Max and Roxy check out Be Bop Deluxe. Specifically the Sunburst Finish record.
  23. Counterparts is a pretty solid album. Speed of Love and Everyday Glory aren't great Rush songs, but they are good songs. Put them on a Goo Goo Dolls album and they are the best songs they ever wrote. Everything else is good to great.
