  1. I know people will kill me for saying this but...once I discovered bands like Tull, Genesis and Yes...the "proggier" Rush era suddenly sounded...childish. And I cannot stand Hemispheres. Childish LOl Cant stand Hemispheres ? Lol You are truly a phony RUSH fan Nothing you can say will change that See You Next Tuesday Hes busy then. How about Thursday?
  2. That Rush has a twitter account is a sure sign the world is ending.
  3. NO they are not positive on every one. They show an apprecitiation for the effort, but have no problem in saying if the song doesn't make their playlist. See Dream Theater They didn't like Mastodon much either. Which song did they do?
  4. But Hems isn't the greatest Rush album. That title belongs to AFTK :P No album with Madrigal can be the greatest of all time. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Madrigal is perfection, and the rest is transcendent. :P I like Madrigal but Cinderella Man is awful.
  5. Oh hey and dont sleep on Down on the Upside and of course Temple of the Dog was a big favorite of mine at the time.
  6. I guess it would be wrong of me to expect Rush albums to not be all top vote getters.
  7. Well it will be 3 years since the last tour, they pretty much said that would be the last major tour and Neil is calling himself retired. Yeah it is wrong. Sorry bud.
  8. They’re all unique. Its Rush.
  9. Assuming that is against the "rules" I'd go with the last album of the 1970's, Hemispheres.
  10. That's a wonderful way to judge an albums quality as opposed to listening to it and forming your own opinion of it. I think the guitar player on the album can provide a pretty well informed opinion. Sure. But don't blindly take that at face value without hearing the album. A lot of artists don't always like what they record. Often times they are their own worst critic. Yep and then they followed it up with their rawest heaviest, and best I may add album.
  11. REO was a actually my first big rockconcert. I had the same nosebleeds I for my first Rush show. Larry Smith Fan Club, baby.
  12. This is the last thing I would ever expect to read from me. Kind of heartbreaking to be honest. I will listen to 80's Metal until my fuckingg ears fall off. I'll be on an oxygen tank. In a motorized wheel barrow with microscopic hearing aids so I can still crank HOLY FUCKKING DIVER! I chose METAL over a woman. Well "Music" really. I will be alone for the rest of my life enjoying MAIDEN PRIEST SAXON OZZY VANDENBERG VAN FUCKKING HALEN Y&T ON AND ON AND ON!!!! I will never grow up and I will burn my calendar. If you chose music over a relationship then why do you keep feeling sorry for yourself? You mention your personal life in nearly every post it seems... Hes not feeling sorry for himself hes actually affirming his positife feelings about his life. In a weird way I grant you...
  13. Well its a huge synth swell that begins 2112 so that. I disagree with the OP. Theres not a huge bit of difference from side 2 of MP to Signals.
  14. Im still looking for a recording of the final show. There are a few of the Cruise shows but nothing from Toronto. Odd.
  15. Especially the Presto songs later on that sounded much better by the time Alex got his guitar mojo back. Show Dont Tell on Counterparts and Presto on Time Machine.
