  1. Sadly, no... Even in the context of RTB it gets a <3/15>.
  2. Note: I'm not saying you need to use the same scale, I'm just trying to explain it better
  3. Couldn't find a thread like this in the last few pages, so have at it. Mine: Same weighted 15 point scale as before (again do NOT try and shoehorn this into a 10 point scale). ** denote best song, italics denote other standouts, <angle brackets> denote worst song, blue text denotes a "lowlight" track. Big Money: 10/15 Grand Designs: 12/15 Manhattan Project: 13/15 Marathon: 13/15 Territories: 11/15 *Middletown Dreams*: 13/15 <Emotion Detector>: 8/15 Mystic Rhythms: 10/15
  4. (PLEASE don't convert these to a 10 point scale... they're weighted) Distant Early Warning: 13/15 Afterimage: 11/15 Red Sector A: 11/15 The Enemy Within: 12/15 The Body Electric: 10/15 Kid Gloves: 12/15 <Red Lenses>: 10/15 *Between The Wheels*: 14/15
  5. Relayer isn't my favorite Yes album... but it does contain my favorite Yes song in Gates. I really like Soundchaser as well, but TBO, while I still like it, keeps it from the top 2.
  6. SAYS IT ALL!!!! Perfect time to unleash the kraken: EAT MY TURD! Is it well-polished? :)
  7. Good God Horrible song... Hmmm... agree on the album but I think it came off a bit better live :)
  8. About half of it... I love Revealing and like Ritual, but Remembering drags a bit and Ancient is a mess.
  9. Yeah, but at least the camera will only be on him for a second and a half so that you can't concentrate on it.
  10. Middletown Dreams Marathon Manhattan Project Grand Designs Territories Mystic Rhythms The Big Money Emotion Detector (Only song on here I don't really like)
  11. Red Barchetta Limelight Camera Eye YYZ Tom Sawyer Vital Signs Witch Hunt
  12. I started with Foxtrot and Cryme. I loved Foxtrot from first listen, but Cryme took a while to sink in (and I'm still not totally sold on the whole thing, re: Harlequin). One of my favorites as well :)
  13. Grace Under Pressure Moving Pictures Fly By Night Honorable mentions: Test For Echo, Fly By Night Worst is Hemispheres (probably the only time I'll ever use those three words in sequence)
  14. That would work as well. Also not a bad idea, but if you want to see how they "evolved" from album to album Trespass and Cryme provide some context.
  15. Fair word of warning about going through the Genesis discography: their first album is nothing like any of their others. You might like it, you might not, but if you don't, don't feel hesitant with going forward, since Trespass was their first "big" change in sound.
  16. To me, Jacobs Ladder drones a bit even if I love it overall, and some of the keys on Entre Nous are a bit cheesy... other than that agreed pretty much.
  17. 9.5/10... has its share of flaws but overall an excellent release. Natural Science Freewill Jacob's Ladder Different Strings The Spirit Of Radio Entre Nous
  18. Yup. I simultaneously find myself disappointed that they didn't play more of that album live and sorry for Neil that he had to perform them (what with the album basically being about his personal tragedies)...
  19. King Crimson... Erm... Since there's no one here to tell me if I'm right, I'll just :bump: and say: Two figures, each with an area of one twelfth of pi times the area of the smallest containing cube of both it and itself reflected over its sole non-warped face
  20. What does 2112 have to do with Frank Zappa's birthday? (;))
  21. Happy anniversary to a valued member
  22. Just water for me please, there's still quite a few years until I'll be drinking age
  23. I can see someone including one of the first two, or 90125/BG if they liked 80's pop/new wave, or Magnification for various reasons...
