  1. I enjoyed it. Solid record for sure. I’d put it over the new Stones as well.
  2. Stone Temple Pilots - Tiny Music From The Vatican Gift Shop Within Temptation - Bleed Out Rolling Stones - Hackney Diamonds both of these last two are better than the new Blink-182 record, and if I were Blink I would definitely be embarrassed about being shown up my a bunch of 80 year olds treading the same water they have for decades.
  3. It’s fine. They sound good for their age. Not a lot here that really excites me to be honest, excepting Sweet Sounds Of Heaven, which out of nowhere approaches Exile On Main St. territory.
  4. Here’s some that are a little more than that that I also think are very good:
  5. Texas Is The Reason - Do You Know Who You Are? Found it on Bandcamp, good stuff! Worth more of my time for sure. Especially dug the last couple tracks.
  6. https://pitchfork.com/news/two-alleged-victims-of-brand-news-jesse-lacey-detail-years-of-sexual-exploitation-of-minors/ My understanding is shortly after these allegations were made, he did in fact admit they were true.
  7. Cool! I’ll keep my eye out for deals on these and also check if they’re on Bandcamp. I have The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Of Me from Brand New, which I like a lot, but don’t really listen to a ton because folks in my local scene are pretty hardline about not listening to Brand New anymore after what came out about their singer… and frankly I feel very conflicted about listening to their music myself, even though I bought that CD second hand.
  8. I’ll get there, working my way into that period slowly. Any records from that period in particular you’d recommend? I’m already familiar with SDRE’s Diary, American Football’s s/t, and of course JEW’s Clarity. Also idk if it counts but I’ve got a few Fugazi records as well.
  9. I did! When you first recommended it to me a few weeks ago I listened to it that very day! lol, I’ll play it again next to appease, and also cuz it’s awesome and I want to hear it again.
  10. I will say I definitely do like Green Day more. A little bit of that is because I found GD much earlier, but the rest is really just taste. That self titled thought is a mall emo masterpiece. Not on par with The Black Parade, but it can go toe to toe with anything from FOB for example.
  11. Fair enough. My rec still stands if you ever want to try loving them again.
  12. Well this wouldn’t be the record to get you into them. Of the records I’ve heard, your best bet would be the self titled from 2003.
  13. Blink-182 - One More Time… Eh. I mean. It’s fine. I might really get into it if it weren’t for the production just being hot garbage.
  14. What if Mick, Keith, and Ronnie just added Paul and Ringo to fill out bass and drums and toured as one band? What would it be called?
  15. Fun is unexpected, hm. Maybe I’ll check it out. Gonna line up the new Blink and Within Temptation first though
  16. You know I think Segue hasn’t seen this thread yet, lol Should we tell him?
  17. I’m doing a one a week challenge this year as well, strictly new releases. It’s my way of keeping up with new music now that I’m not necessarily going to be exposed to it in my social circles.
