  1. I like Core...don't love it...lose total interest after that. I hear people say they sound like a carbon copy of Pearl Jam on groups I am on, and I've never heard it myself. I fancy a relisten to be honest
  2. I always associate Nirvana with REM and Pixies in my brain. Like...they just don't musically fit for me amongst these other bands that also only loosely fit together.
  3. Ha! Exactly the same ranking! Great stuff on every album, the top two are all great (just long)
  4. I'm not yet...the singles are fine but I consume PJ mostly via a full album. I've finally come around to Gigaton, though its still my least favourite work. No harm in that, someone's gotta love the forgotten gems 🤣
  5. In Flames- Sounds Of A Playground Fading Fantastic! It offers nothing particularly new that the band hadn't already done by this point, yet regardless, this 2011 album is a delight.
  6. In Flames- Lunar Strain Iced Earth- Iced Earth Blind Guardian- Battalions Of Fear Paradise Lost- Lost Paradise For whatever reason, I fancied spinning four of my favourite metal debuts.
  7. I love this album. Like Binaural, I used to sort of dismiss it based on its reputation. I owned it, had played it, never took it seriously. Then with revisits to the band, I found myself listening more and more to this and Binaural. Now I just love Pearl Jam inside out.
  8. 90125 is honestly the first skip for me. You'd think I'd love that big pop sound, but I honestly find it grating with godawful lyrics.
  9. Oh...Tales is their masterpiece as far as I am concerned 🤣
  10. At least you're enjoying it! I'm not feeling the new PJ singles. Kings Of Leon dropped a new single today, enjoyed that more!
  11. Testament- Dark Roots Of The Earth Testament- The Gathering I discovered Testament after buying a copy of The Gathering. I was a bit confused the first time I played it, thinking "Anneke Van Giersbergen sure sounds angry!" Turns out The Gathering have no album called Testament. Oh well. I won by having a new favourite band! This was around 2006.
  12. They had state of the art production, and moody vibes. They were treated like the artsy Spice Girls.
  13. They are a decent UK girl band. Their single Black Coffee is one of the most beautifully produced pop songs I've ever heard.
  14. I love that album! Gosh, not played it in forever... ...fun fact, Under The Bridge became a hit when UK girl band All Saints covered it. A very good cover too
  15. Anathema- Weather Systems Mastodon- Emperor Of Sand Epica- Requiem For The Indifferent Epica's Requiem has often been derided by fans, but if I haven't listened to Epica in a long while, I find it is always the one I first come back too. As for Anathema, masterful album. Mastodon, likewise.
  16. I don't play RHCP much. A little of them goes a long way for me! But I love By The Way.
  17. I have find memories of RHCP having a hit with BTW. It started me on my journey to harder sounds when I was about 11. I'm not a big RHCP at the moment, but I think a bit of time spent with them could fix that.
