  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgyw3w6z9Fk Golden Bridge - Da Nang, Vietnam Located in the Bà Nà Hills of central Vietnam, Cau Vang, or the Golden Bridge, is a 490-foot-long pedestrian bridge and scenic overlook. The bridge, which sits 3,200 feet above sea level, opened in June 2018, and photos of the one-of-a-kind structure instantly went viral. Not only is the bridge impressively located high above the trees, but the walkway appears to be held up by two massive stone hands. The area around the bridge, formerly the site of an American army base, has been a tourist attraction for decades, replete with a cable car, gardens, replica French medieval village and wax museum. Now, thanks to this striking bridge, it’s become an even more popular spot.

  3. Aerial view of the Murray River in Kingston-on-Murray, Australia This scenic bend is just a small section of Australia’s longest river. It’s a major waterway in a continent known more for vast stretches of arid outback and treeless plains. Flowing for more than 1,500 miles from its headwaters in the Australian Alps to its mouth near Goolwa on the Southern Ocean, the river serves myriad purposes—irrigating crops, filling reservoirs, and sustaining a unique ecosystem. Keeping the Murray River region well-irrigated is important, as it’s considered the ‘food bowl’ of the nation. But diverting all this water has endangered some of the river’s endemic species, including the Murray cod, one of the largest freshwater fish in the world. Scientists are exploring ways to ensure that the Murray continues as a source of life for both human, and non-human, residents.
  4. The athleticism on display here is breathtaking.
  5. More than anything, it's the chemistry he had with Geddy and Alex. Surely, there must be a few drummers around who match his intellect and even surpass his drumming, but none around that have those things AND get along with Geddy and Alex as Neil did. The chemistry thing is so true. I felt the same about Broon's chemistry with them. So sorely missed, imo. I realize though that just saying intellect doesn't express adequately what I was trying to say. What I meant was the intellect that made up the man called Neil Peart.
  6. Mostly original music related. My old 4-track tapes with my original songs on them...especially the ones I haven't digitized yet (which I've begun the long process of within the last year). Also, music gear. God knows why I keep some of it. My musical output is a shadow of what it once was. Some of this gear I'll never use again. I even keep the broken stuff. It's sad. I definitely need to be better about backing up my computer files.
  7. It's not Neil's drumming that makes him so irreplaceable. It's his intellect.
  8. YYNOT springs from and expands upon Rush's commercial arm. They are a "what if?" band to me, as in, "What if Rush was a lot more commercial and had a great female singer?" YYNOT makes that scenario a reality. If anything, they've proven how flexible Rush's sound can actually be and that it deserves to be in rock's palette moving forward.

  12. Alex trying to lift his famous four neck guitar while Geddy screams at him.
  13. Hello Robert Plant. Geddy Lee. That guy from The Darkness.
  14. I just watched this. Man, Jacob's Ladder sounds terrific on piano. It makes me think of "Asturias", a Spanish piece that was initially written on piano by Isaac Albeniz about a century ago. After he died, someone transcribed it to the guitar, where it took on new life and became part of the canon. Listen with good headphones: You got it, bruh.
  15. He's a touch player. Everything they'd play together would sound like Rivendell.
  16. If Portnoy becomes their drummer I'm moving to Canada.
  17. That time they tried to pass off Steve Perry as Geddy Lee.
  18. I don't recall ever seeing Ged in leather pants onstage. The Leather Twins
  19. The painted velvet bolero jacket goes unbelievably well with the leather pants, and the Eraserhead t-shirt ties the whole look together. :ebert: It's quite a look. Wonder what show this is.
  20. You've got to be f***ing joking. that it took me a day to put it on my list, or that I think it's a beautiful song? If you truly have to ask that then I despair.... It's f***ing hideous. Why? It's portentous.
