  1. single mix... they should have kept the same mix on the album. It's like they said "ok, let's remix these two songs for the album... let's just lower the drums, turn up the keys/effects and add some weird effects to the bass. That should do it..."
  2. lol it's actually a pretty entertaining interview, Letterman roughs him up a little bit and teases him about his new tattoo... Bieber is visibly irritated. I loved it
  3. one thing I don't get... why did they pick Ned Beatty? Jon Voight is clearly the more attractive man
  4. you can get just about every 70s-90s Rush album on Amazon for under $10
  5. QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ Jun 25 2012, 10:52 AM) I am the Watchmaker. Coo Coo Ca Choo And by the way, you're all irritating the crap out of me. Geddy is the egg man
  6. there's a mini moog in the anarchist?
  7. they're worth getting... every release from Rush - A Show of Hands remastered and sounding better than ever. Not to mention the bonus 5.1 discs.
  8. Anyone see this? Apparently the Beeber has no idea what the Sistine Chapel is... "16th chapel??"
  9. This has been driving me crazy, on the CD version of Time Machine live there's a very noticeable mistake at the beginning of Tom Sawyer where it sounds like the synth was triggered twice or something, but when I watch it on the DVD it's not there. Was this something they cleaned up for the DVD and just decided to leave it on the CD?
  10. Are you kidding? The rape scene is tame compared to some of the stuff they put out today. Watching it now, it's more comical than anything.
  11. Wasn't Rush accused in the early 80s of being a right-wing band?
  12. there's an old saying... if you're not a liberal by the age of 20, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the age of 40, you have no brain.
  13. wow some people need to stop sucking on Neil's Cockwork Angels and be a little objective.
  14. QUOTE (beherit @ Jun 22 2012, 09:45 PM) But yeah, seriously, never let your own political views get in the way of music, or anything really. If you look at a chair or a turkey sandwich and think IS THIS LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE, you probably have a problem... And to the people saying I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WERE RIGHT-WING NUTJOBS HERE: What did you expect on a forum for a band that's mostly enjoyed by people older than 30? On a forum with lots of 50 year-olds, of course you're gonna get a lot of people who are against gay marriage, think the Bible is 100% literal fact, etc. That's their opinion, oh well. good point... with age comes wisdom
  15. This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where they're watching a movie about King Arthur granting a knighthood to Zorro, then a rap song plays over the credits.
  16. QUOTE (vital signz @ Jun 22 2012, 06:25 PM) QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jun 21 2012, 12:06 PM) QUOTE (CantStopThinkingBig @ Jun 20 2012, 08:18 PM) Don't get me wrong, it's a good album... and it blows away S&A (which isn't hard to do). But I'm just feeling a bit underwhelmed. Maybe I expected too much... maybe it was all the anticipation. I also feel like the 3 singles we got to hear ahead of time are the main highlights of the album, so everything else is just "meh". I don't know... maybe I need to give it more time. I agree. Its terrifically mediocre, imo. I would love to know what you like listening to good music... albums like Moving Pictures and Vapor Trails
  17. I have no idea what the story is either. Who's the Watchmaker?
  18. are the Occupiers even still around? I think they all went back to their mom's basements to get high
  19. I'm more bothered by Geddy's lack of enunciation... if I didn't know the lyrics I'd never understand what he's saying.
  20. Music these days is made to be listened to on tiny earbuds... gone are the days of the home stereo. I haven't even owned a home stereo in over 10 years.
