  1. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 18 2012, 11:29 PM) Exhibit 1 - a crap "new" old song written in 1993 and re-written for the new album released as a single and as part of a GI Joe film soundtrack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r20TGXVfJCQ Exhibit 2 - shitty cartoon album art http://c438342.r42.cf2.rackcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Aerosmith-Music-From-Another-Dimension.jpg Exhibit 3 - New songs written by Dianne Warren, Desmond Child et al Exhibit 4 - Carrie Underwood, Julian Lennon backing vocals Exhibit 5 - Tyler lost it years ago, so did Perry Exhibit 6 - The best Aerosmith you'll find in this decade is on the new Joe Bonamassa album: Brad Whitford playing rhythm guitar on half a dozen tracks. Sounds really good too. Huh---Interesting how their names are written in bar-code form, on the cd cover art....secret message??? A warning?? New world order conspiracies come to mind right away. I've been a Aerosmith fan since about 73/74...Toys and Rocks were classics!! Their 2 best LP's , for sure. The best yrs. were 73-93, imo.
  2. The Beatles started modern pop-rock/rock music---Fact End of story---Next.
  3. QUOTE (invisible airwave @ Jun 18 2012, 10:04 AM) QUOTE (beherit @ Jun 18 2012, 03:05 AM) Paul McCartney turned 70 today. 64 or 70, we still love Paul. Yep, he's gettin' up there, but he still ROCKS!!! ...Ringo's even older..72 in July.
  4. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Jun 18 2012, 06:08 AM) QUOTE (go2wrk@95974 @ Jun 17 2012, 10:30 AM) I could see a blow-up doll...but..a teddy-bear?? This sounds worse than you actually intended. I hope. "A mannequin I can understand. But a hobby horse is just disgusting!" I was refering to the s*x dolls, Johnny, that some of the desperado's get, when they can't land a real live girl. Yeah my post didn't come out right..oh well..sh*t happens!
  5. QUOTE (Oracle @ Jun 17 2012, 11:32 PM) I like The Beatles, but they are really overpraised. I really can't listen to a whole album of theirs now without feeling somewhat disappointed. The only albums I still listen to on a semi-regular basis are Abbey Road, Let it Be, and With the Beatles. Looking back at the era, 50 years later, I think they just came along at the right time, at the right place, with the right looks and lyrics to win over all the girls they could. Shame what happened to them, though. All I can say is, you had to have been alive at the time to really understand the impact The Beatles had on everything in society, musically or otherwise. The young people of today can't really connect the dots about it all,but the Beatles were something NEW, that society had never experienced before... Even bigger than Elvis-mania, almost 10 yrs. earlier. They took this country by storm! teenage girl's were dropin' like flies at their live gig's, from euphoria..it was unreal..Beatle-mania was unreal. No other band created so much craziness wherever they went, like the beatles..they literally had an army of fanatics, that followed them to the ends of the earth!! Like I said, you had to have been there, to really know the impact. ...Listening to the tune's after the fact, only tells a quarter of the story.
  6. I've seen a few TV commercials..looks pretty funny. Sandler always comes up with some good one-liners!!
  7. Not too much of a surprise there. The guys life took a turn for the worse after the incident.....RIP.
  8. Somethin' ain't right with all these stage collapses... Theres more to the story here than the coppers are saying. Back in the day, there was never any of this stuff goin' on. What do the authorities know that we don't??? That's the question.
  9. Hey, I was just goin' with the flow of the thread. If your offended...my bad.I like posting on this site. There's alot humorous intelligent talented people on here... It's no wonder..It's a RUSH site.
  10. QUOTE (ReRushed @ May 3 2012, 01:10 PM) Personally, I'm always celebrating The Beatles. A wonderful band and I can't imagine my life without them. My life's never been the same since 2-9-64. There's not a day that goes by, that I don't play at least one Beatle tune. I've been listening to the 1st one lately. Still a total classic, after all these years..They literally started it all. The Liverpool lad's will be forever unmatched musically...
  11. Probably in the top 5, for all LPS of the 70's.
  12. Happy dad's day to all you F'ers.... ..and by that I mean fathers!

  14. QUOTE (Babycat @ Jun 16 2012, 01:34 AM) Raided the fridge and found this: http://www.wallywine.com/images/PRODUCT/large/1343.jpg! Miller lite is just too...Light, for my beer taste. Doesn't have enough kick to it......
  15. What's wrong with this picture??? I could see a blow-up doll...but..a teddy-bear?? Disgusting.... Where do you dig this sh*t up from,Duck ???? ..On second thought..don't answer that..don't want to know. The dude is definitely a twisted sick bast*rd, needless to say. ....Good for a laugh-fest though , no doubt..I was bustin'up!!
  16. Congradulations!! H.S. is a whole nother animal. A whole nother level...Good luck to ya.
  17. Yeah, the Beach Boys USED to be great...way back when. Years ago, when they had the original line-up of 62-63. It is good to see Brian Wilson finally returning to earth mentally, after his LSD-induced coma left the BB leader a brain-damaged recluse. He could have been greater than Lennon-McCartney, as a songwriter, if he would have just stayed clear of all those drugs..too bad he didn't. Pet Sounds is one of the greatest LP's of all time..a true classic, right up there with the Beatles Sgt. Peppers. ...Atleast now he's back into music, which is really great to see. He's overcome alot in life..with his brother's death's etc...so God bless him. Hopefully Wilson will continue to record on his own, if not with the Beach boys. He still has TONS of musical talent for the world to enjoy.
  18. Hmmm......Not too sure about that one..covers are hit and miss! Sounds like ol Alice wants some of that pink from googoo ga ga !!!!!!
  19. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Jun 15 2012, 10:41 AM) I go down for about 2 hours, wake up in pain, take some great narcotics that knock me out in about an hour. Now that summer is here, I can sleep for another 5 or 6 hours! During school 4 hours a day if that. Downer narc's are good if you want'a crash for a few... just don't over-do it...or you'll be snoozin' for eternity.. The classic Marilyn Monroe syndrome
  20. ......Probably all the above..and then some!! Except for flippin' troll..you can leave that one out of the mix!
  21. Happy Birthday Kelly !!! It's friday night...Party-hardy time!!!
  22. Bud--the KING of brews! (I do like Miller genuine draft better, though... The stuff goes down smooth, but also has a good bite. A sixer will give you a decent buzz for sure!! )
