  1. Finally listening to this, and holy shit is all I have to say, this is so surreal, it's just what I wanted. I can see what many are disappointed, and that it's an album you have to be in the mood for, but it is so beautiful, and twisted. The acoustic guitars in Storm Corrosion for the first few minutes take me far far far far away.
  2. Don't give a f**k what people think of me, prog f***ing rules.
  3. Roulette Dares, Sun of Nothing, Anesthetize, Supper's Ready, La Villa Strangiato, etc.
  4. Mikael is one of my favorite musicians ever, I hope he's okay It looks like he'll be fine, I just hope he'll get better soon. And thanks to Ghost and Mastodon for extending the show.
  5. Terry Brooks & Strange - Jimi I can't find this one anywhere
  6. David Bowie - The Man Who Sold the World I used to love this song when I was little, so I had to listen to the whole thing for the memories. Hits the soul
  7. David Bowie - Sons of the Silent Age Didn't do much for me really, but Bowie in general could definitely grow on me. It did have a triumphant ending though, I definitely enjoyed that a lot.
  8. QUOTE (thesweetscience @ May 7 2012, 08:52 AM) I don't use Facebook so no complaints here. this. I like that too, when someone freaks because I don't have facebook.
  9. Sounds like it will be amazing, but now I feel spoiled

Then why is Mike Levine of Triumph listed..... He sings lead vocals at least half the time. Gil Moore (drummer) sang half the lead vocals in triumph, not Mike levine. Tis true.
  12. QUOTE (PolarizeMe @ May 5 2012, 05:10 PM) QUOTE (Good @ bad, andrush,May 4 2012, 10:52 PM) Wait what? It arrived already? Mine hasn't even been shipped yet! What gives? It says it'll be shipped the release date, May 8. Yeah, my copy has yet to arrive as well. Did you order the Roadrunner edition by any chance? Cause did and I'm starting to worry cause it looks like everyone's getting their copies in the post now. At amazon. I think.

  14. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ May 4 2012, 08:10 PM) QUOTE (Akron162 @ May 4 2012, 08:37 PM) i have only listened to Pawn Hearts, and i really didnt like it. I guess i should check their other stuff, but, meeeh... I tried listening to Pawn Hearts at least 3 times when I first got it but I couldn't get more than 5 minutes in. I finally gave it a chance and it still gets better after every listen and they're one of my favorite bands. Listen to it a few more times to see if it'll grow on you. Also check out Godbluff. You guys are high, pawn hearts lured me in from the start
  15. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ May 4 2012, 05:08 PM) QUOTE (Good @ bad, andrush,May 4 2012, 08:50 AM) QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ May 3 2012, 10:06 PM) Hopefully the new album is as good as A Grounding in Numbers. Hammill said that its all improv and instrumental, like the second disc of Present but still different. Its awesome that a band that's been around for over 40 years is still changing their style. Can't wait until NEARfest! I wonder if they'll meet the fans after the show. If you meet them, please please please say hi for me, tell them a friend in Texas is a big fan and love their work Will do! It'll mean the world to me! Thank you!
  16. QUOTE (ILSnwdog @ May 4 2012, 03:57 PM) I wonder how many of the younger posters are popping in here and thinking "Who's the clown in the bow tie?" Who's that clown in a Bowtie?
  17. David Bowie - Sound and Vision That was nice but it felt a little stale, that's all.
  18. David Bowie - Changes I miss this song, I've been wondering what it was called, thanks very much!
  19. David Bowie - Space Oddity My mother would play me this song as a little kid. Love it to death. So so so surreal.
  20. David Bowie - Modern Love Very reminiscent of Billy Joel, one of my favorite artists. Like this a good deal.
  21. David Bowie - Heroes Been a LONG time since I've listened to David Bowie. Memories, ahh. Good stuff though, I was kinda surprised. Nice psychedelic touches.
  22. Biglietto Per L'Inferno - Confessione Left me cold. Would take a few more listens but I still heard some nice bits and pieces. Usually Italian prog or prog of any other language takes a while to grow on me unless it's Spanish or French.
  23. Big Brother and the Holding Company - Farewell Song (live from Janis Joplin - Farewell Song) Well this was a nice surprise. Felt like I was there. Great vocals too, especially for live. Love the enlightning guitar sound too, but again...wouldn't listen to it too often. But jeesus, the way it speeds up at the end is golden, golden golden golden.
  24. Big Brother and the Holding Company - Piece of My Heart Again, some good stuff. Would probably listen to it on a mixtape or something but wouldn't actively seek it out.
