  1. I was so excited to hear about this news - a new book from Neil; one he completed before his passing... http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2021/07/neil-pearts-new-coffee-table-book.html Excited, and yet sad as well...
  2. Let me take this opportunity to give John at Cygnus-X1.net some recognition, not only for his archiving of Neil's articles, but for his entire site, an invaluable resource to the Rush community. John was handing out postcards advertising Cygnus-X.net at the first Rush gig I ever went to, the gig at which I became a fan, and I have been visiting it regularly ever since. Many thanks and much appreciation to John for all his hard work over the years! Thank you, sir. Always nice to hear favorable comments about the work I put into my website. Glad you're enjoying it.

  9. That's great news. I wish Vapor Trails, S&A, and Clockwork Angels could reach the Gold certification plateau...maybe one day. For those interested, you can see all of Rush's RIAA certifications on a single page here: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/certifications-riaa.php
  10. Back on July 25th, 1974, Rush would open for KISS at the Centennial Hall in London, Ontario. It would turn out to be John Rutsey's final performance with the band. A few photos from that performance recently emerged, so I've made them available on this page: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-london-on-07.25.1974.php Enjoy-
  11. The 'new' Caress of Steel tour book has been scanned and transcribed for your reading and viewing pleasure. The article included in the tour book, which was written back in 1975, is fairly insightful and actually speaks to the success Rush would go on to have. A great read. You can check out the tour book transcription here: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/tourbook-cos.php Artwork and all photos from the book are available here: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/imagedb-tourbook-cos.php And if you're so inclined, all the other Rush Tour Books are also online via this link:https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/bios.php#B12 Enjoy-

  18. Hi Everyone- I was asked to take down my original post by the folks at Fantoons. It seems that Amazon jumped the gun by posting the release date of this book. The fact is that the details are still being worked out with Rush's management team. If you placed a pre-order, don't worry - it'll still be good to go. It's still very likely that the book will be released in November as well. Hopefully we'll get official word within the next week or so. I also did receive an early copy of this book in electronic form. It's incredibly well done. I'm sure it'll resonate with every fan. Sorry for any trouble.
  19. There's a new book coming out this November from Fantoons that celebrates some of Neil's favorite quotes in illustrated form. It's called Neil Peart: The Illustrated Quotes and it looks to be really well done. Details and pre-order links available here: http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2020/09/neil-peart-illustrated-quotes-coming.html
  20. Some rare and autographed items will be up for auction starting on July 1st, with more items to come. Complete details here: http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2020/06/neil-pearts-family-creates-memorial.html
  21. When most people think about Rush fanzines, two primary ones come to mind -- The Spirit of Rush and A Show of Fans. But there was another fanzine that launched back in July of 1988 and ran for nine issues - The Necromancer. This fanzine, along with all the others, has now been preserved in an online archive. You can check it out at the following link: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/thenecromancer.php Enjoy the look back- John
