  2. QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Aug 30 2012, 08:46 AM) They don't care...I don't care. f**k the RRHOF I second that sentiment!
  3. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Aug 23 2012, 03:20 PM) QUOTE (zac2112 @ Aug 22 2012, 11:50 AM) Tampa about 90% sold, just top rows in the upper decks, no lawn tics left either. I'm sure! Every fan from Florida is heading to Tampa on the 3rd of November! I have my reservations already! Gonna be hard to top the Tampa TM show which was fookin epic! And actually had a noteable spike in female attendance as well.

I wouldn't say 90%. There are quite a few seats left in the upper section and lawn hasn't even gone on sale yet from I can tell. I tried live nation and lawn was unavailable and only top third of upper decks? you have a different site? i know some folks looking for lawn?

  6. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Aug 17 2012, 10:18 AM) Never gonna happen. Geddy's voice is so far beyond attempting that song at this point even with downtuning. Can you imagine him trying to sing the line "wonders in the world they wrought" with the way his voice is now? It would sound terrible. I believe I read somewhere that Geddy said he thinks he sounds awful doing the 70s stuff. I'm sure even he would tell you "no way" if you asked him to play it this tour There's a reason most of the 70s stuff is ignored. If they could make the songs work somehow live i'm sure they would play more from that decade, unfortunately they can't. Always one to piss on our little nostalgic wishlist. Geddys vocal performance is pretty far down on the list of grading a Rush show imho, so it wouldnt bother me one bit, i couldnt imagine the crowd reaction to the opening riffs of either song! One can dream i guess
  7. QUOTE (pdurbin22 @ Aug 17 2012, 08:51 AM) It's obvious why Rush doesn't play much 70's material - it's not fun for Geddy to try to sing, and in some cases it just wouldn't sound good at all. But he's proven with songs like "2112" and "Circumstances" that tuning down a step and slightly altering the vocal melody works wonders. I don't see any reason the band couldn't take this approach with a classic like "Anthem." In fact, I can even hear the alternate vocal melody in my head, and the song could take on a whole new level of awesomeness. I am definitely not one of those people who think "they better play this or I'll hate the show!" I'm ecstacic that the band is still active and good as ever and I trust them to deliver a killer set. Just hoping for this pleasant surprise! Ill jump right on that bandwagon, Anthem and What your doing would be two very high on my classic list would love to hear!
  8. The Tampa Tm show his voice was really good, best ive heard him sing in years quite frankly. That particular show was off the charts good for some reason!? The Florida soup perhaps???
  9. Tickets for the Tampa show finally arrived yesterday!!! have to know the setlist, usually bring it with me written on back of my business card, my wife thinks im a dork! no arguments from me. partial wish list for old songs on this tour Anthem Lakeside park What your doing A passage to bakock Fly by night
  10. QUOTE (D3strukt @ Jul 16 2012, 01:16 PM) QUOTE (zac2112 @ Jul 16 2012, 12:55 PM) Why all the hatin on Tampa? Its a great place to live imo, but to each is own I guess. All the Rush shows ive seen in Tampa since they got back to touring with Vapor Trails have been exceptional for some reason. A november date is perfect for an outdoor concert in Florida, and the venue is really good here. So anybody thinking about traveling to see a show cmon down! If you can get a ticket that is Hardly. Try getting from Temple Terrace down 56th to Hillsborough. It's a f***ing nightmare. The entire city is grimy, always under construction and there is crime everywhere. Also no one knows how to drive, at all. cant relate D3, live in s.tampa, and work close to home. neighborhoods are very nice, and crime is not an issue. Orlando is fine but given the choice the bueaty of Florida is living on the coasts, near the water ill give you the road construction, and lousy drivers, but where in Florida is that not the case?

  12. How about that Tampa show on the TM tour?? I realize it was the end of the first leg of the tour, and they were well oiled but Mr. Alex Lifeson was on fire that night, and for some reason there was a noteable spike in female attendance! Cant wait for the CA show in Nov, and i guess i was a lucky one, got two good seats in front row of second section, see yall there!
  13. Definitely top three song, everytime i listen i like it more. fookin awesome!
  14. They performed at such a high level this tour, it was crazy good in Tampa! I caught my wife who is mainly a country music fan humming songs from the show days later, lmfao another newer fan RUSHIFIED!
  15. I have only two requests before they hang it up. Anthem Lakeside Park
  16. There was a lot of folks at the Tampa show puffing in the lot pre concert myself included, our seats had a lot of kids around so we didnt think it was appropriate inside the venue. Some things do change after 30 yrs I guess.
  17. Totally agree, ive seen them a bunch and this show was awesome, the second set was about as good as it gets, and its probably the best i have ever seen Alex play, especially the encores....fuggetabout it!!!
  18. There are 4 seats on stub hub section 2 row L at the bargain basement price of $1195 each! Packed house tommorow night!
  19. I live in Tampa and have been to prolly 20 shows at this venue, those are the closest sections to the stage no way they are closed in fact there are tics on stub hub in those sections?
  20. If your on a guy trip hit the world famous Mons Venus club! Thee Doll House is a close second. Lots of great steakhouses in Tampa depending on your budget, Berns is a must if you have the dough. All the awesome St.Pete/Clearwater beaches are a short distance as well, plenty of good stuff to do, enjoy! As for the show, the venue is great, should be fookin killer,im 18 rows Alex side.
