Do the same mushrooms that you pick grow back from the original stem?

Supposedly. Been trying to keep track of this to see if it's real, and it appears they regrow from very close proximity of the stem. These morels are excellent deepfried. Fantastic in eggplant parmesan. Really elevates that dish.

Sounds tasty!

We have mushrooms here but you really have to be careful not to eat poisonous ones. I will look for a book on them. Never really thought about searching for them.

youtube is an excellent resource. Morels are easily identified so I'd start there

I don't like mushrooms, but hunting for them sounds like fun.

Have you ever had Portabella?

Yeah, I've tried all the usual mushrooms like those, and some of the wild ones. I'm just not a fan.

If you have them prepared the right way I know I could make you a fan. Morels are the "ribeye" steak of mushrooms. Portabellas are the porterhouse

I would love to try Morels but I have never seen them.

You can buy them in some grocery stores, usually about $15 for an 1/4 ounce--dried!

Yowsa!

Speaking of mushrooms

I just woke up. Went in to the kitchen and a package of baby Bellas were on the counter. :D

MMMMMMM. A great tasting mushroom.

I just got finished cleaning a mess of mushrooms. Now I get to eat them. My next video will document that fun aspect of harvesting mushrooms

Great new video Duff. :ebert: Love those nature shots.

Now I want to dust off my camera and shoot something out in the woods.

Man, everytime I see your videos I'm starving afterwards.

that'sa that'sa that'sa Racer... :LMAO: you're right it's the little things. Just watched the video 2 times and that one is hilarious and I love the shrug part, where you caught the egg masterfully, with a camera in your hand and the reaction is just  hilarious, a big laugh. Well done little Duff.

Really enjoy these videos, containing all the love for nature and the love for your kids. :ebert:

Hey Duff, is that you on the guitar, in the background of the new video?

That's called "Final Gasp Blues". Garden variety delta blues. Fitted perfect (in my mind) with that ancient bush-hogger

So whatcha got in that frying pan, and are you sharing? (Unless it's mushrooms, you can keep those...)

It's mushrooms my friend. I'd share. Pork Chops were main course last night.

Smothered in gravy? :D
