D-13 Posted February 13, 2005 Author Share Posted February 13, 2005 Well I have exactly 8 hours till I get up and get going to the comp...kinda nervous...and sometimes not....I just have to think that it's for fun and practice no biggie....except it's taking a HUGE chunk out of my wallet!! $60 entry fee $40 Lift Ticket $20 Bib deposit $10 Gas Money Droping into the pipe while they say..."now dropping into the pipe is Allison Janzen.." and having your favourite tunes blasting through your earphones and having your teamates cheer for you (not to mention people here too!) and people looking at my helmet thinking i'm nuts about Rush and Heart... D-13 Posted February 13, 2005 Author Share Posted February 13, 2005 Wow well I just got back....story time So my coach picks me up late which I guess wasn't bad because Mt. Norquay was only a good hour away....so it's all good....on the way we almost hit some mountain goats....one little guy had a wicked mohawk...it was really really funny! So now we are laughing and now I feel sick from laughin too much....bleh no worries tho. We get inside the lodge to register and what this? FIS (you need FIS to compete for this comp) was telling me that 2 of my friends were not on the list...thankfully I was because I got the FIS license like 2 months ago....so we took about 40 mins to dicuss....of course right there i'm like well if you guys are not riding i'm not....but coach was like no you are lol but in either case they did get everything and was registered and all was well..... holy crap we go straight to the pipe and Andrew....see Horiscope thread...lol is already getting interviewed by these guys...so we were like....rice! TV is here already! I think we were the youngest ones there....There was alot of Quebecers there and they know how to ride. So anyways I take my practice runs and the such and now it's time to drop in.... 1st Run----> Air with Indie Air with Method Air with Tail grab ( with a poke, I surprized myself actaully) Air with a Stail Fish 360 Switch Ally Oop Air to Fakie Air with method 360 Total----> 21.7 (highest I have ever gotten EVER!)  2nd Run-----> Air with Indie Air with Method Air with Tail grab Air with a Stail Fish totally exagerated all grabs this time cuz I guess people were commenting on it...even the older girls! lol 360 Switch Ally Oop Air to Fakie and I attempted a 360 Ally Oop.....but hand touched at the end...pretteh good for the first time trying that trick ever lol Total----->I think it was 14.3 or something.....so because I hand touched...that cost me 7 points. 1st rank 13 2nd Rank 15 It goes by your best score out of the 2 runs soooo it will be 21.7 for me...I dunno what I got yet....prob not the top 10 like I wanted but I don't care i'm moving up every comp in rank. My second run was really cool because about 3 senior girls were like....go buddee you can do it and all this......... I even got a high five! that was fun.... As for the TV business....it was some guy with a camera who only taped a couple runs...and if it were on TV it's only going to be the finals....and I wasn't in them ....I did get a cool poster tho! and good memories. There was even a comentator there....all I heard when I was done was.....I think that was 105's (bib number) best run so far! lol  I just want to thank everyone who had confidence in me lol It was really fun and yea next time I shouldn't be nervous at all!  Thanks guys!!!
