Jack Aubrey
Steve Martin is terrific, but the brilliant Peter Sellers left him with some HUGE shoes to fill. I have to say that the trailer looks pretty funny. 'The Pink Panther'
Sodoff Baldrick
Anybody see the Peter Sellers HBO biopic with Geoffrey Rush? I don't have HBO but I really want to see it. Maybe it'll go to DVD.
Batman
Looks pretty good.Sellers owned that role but I think Steve can pull it off.

neilpeart_gal
It was a weird flick!!! Charlize Theron does a good job, as does Geoffrey Rush, but man! Sometimes I was going ???? I'm so horrible, I've never seen any of the Pink Panthers.
Sodoff Baldrick
The first one and A Shot in the Dark are hilarious. Pink Panther Strikes Again is OK, but has a few really funny moments. Trail of the Pink Panther I'd pass - it's really a bunch of clips from previous movies strung together in flashback form, since Sellers was dead by then, and David Niven was close to it. Rich Little had to dub his voice in the film. And then there was Son of the Pink Panther with Roberto Benigni. Ugh. Not his finest moment.
Brutal Truth
I don't think they should have made this movie. It's heresy to put Steve Martin into this role when he is plainly not anywhere near as talented as Sellers. I'm passing on principle as I did with The Ladykillers. neilpeart_gal
I'll remember that, SB. Just the first one then. I don't understand this need to remake films, esp. ones that are relatively 'new'. Is Hollywood that desperate for material?
Sodoff Baldrick
I guess that's what Pixar is for, original material.
