Rooney has never delivered on the International stage when it matters.

 

England have more than enough firepower without him. Hodgson should not have taken him

in my opinion.

Over the hill Rooney needs to disappear gracefully - Ooops to late for that.

He seems a nice enough guy, but can't raise his game in the big Internationals.

 

I also don't think he should be burdened with the Captain's armband when he plays

for England. It has not helped his performances.
