RIP Elmore Leonard - superstar crime and western novelist and screen writer

Leonard was the main man when it comes to no-nonsense blue collar crime novels and westerns, with quirky characters, wacko bad guys, blue collar heroes.

 

He wrote a ton of great books which were made into films Hombre, Get Shorty, Mr Majestyk, Stick, Out of sight, Rum Punch (adapted for film as Jackie Brown), Killshot, Freaky Deaky, Glitz, Pronto & Rising the Rap (TV show Justified and Karen Sisco), Maximum Bob, 52 Pick-up, Last Stand at Sabre River, Valdez is Coming. He also wrote the screenplay for Joe Kidd.
