Distant Signals
Any keyboard and or bassists/keyboardists try and tackle Force Ten?The intro/outro can be easily cut from the CD and sampled.I am looking for all the gooey stuff in the middle of the song. It's a busy song indeed Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
CygnusX-1Bk2
There used to be some downloadable midi file sites where there were a bunch of Rush files available but a lot of that was clamped down on after Napster went down. At least the sites I used to have bookmarks for anyway. I am sure some of it is still out there if you Google "Rush MIDI files." I extracted a bunch of bits from those files a long time ago for our Rush band but it's not easily retrievable right now. But my process was import the midi file into a DAW, I was using Cubase at the time. Then I would take out the drum, bass, guitar and vocal patches so all of the synth stuff would be left. Then I would run those through better softsynths or my keyboard synths and record that for samples. Then I took the samples and put them into Reason for triggering. A lot of time and effort. But like I said, much of that data is on older machines that are put away but if you can find some good Rush midi files this process will get you where you need to go. Distant Signals
Thanks for the tips. If I can't find some good starting MIDI files, might just switch songs to Prime Mover. That is an easier one
