Who makes more $$$$

Do you think it's an even take....33.333% on all band member earnings?

 

I have heard of other bands, 4 or 5 member bands getting a different cut, based on the music writing responsibilities, lyric writing, seniority or band name right's (i.e. Van Halen).

 

Some would say with some bands in the past the bassist and drummer may get a less cut. ( I call bullshit....I play bass and drums)

 

With RUSH it seems a very equal effort to create and play an album live.

 

Music by Lifeson and Lee. Lyrics by Peart. We have seen that a lot. ( even)

 

Drums and Lyrics by Peart. (even)

 

Bass and Vocals by Lee. (even)

 

Guitars by Lifeson. (even ?)

 

 

Does Geddy get a higher cut for two major roles?

 

Does Neil get a higher cut for two major roles?

 

Does Alex get a higher cut for maybe higher equipment costs or for maybe more music writing responsibilities.

 

I believe their respective roles are very even and that they do in fact get an even cut of band member profits.

 

Was it always this way?

 

When Neil was the 'new guy' Do you think Geddy and Alex said "come aboard, even steven"?

 

If any one should get a pinch more than I vote for Geddy.....
