RUSHHEAD666
According to Metal Dad who is one of my favorite members on here he thinks this song is weak! I love METAL just as much as him and Duck of course but for some reason "The Wreckers" has taken over my heart and soul! It's one of the greatest songs ever written by the band period. Ok so many of you can't hear The Byrds in the opening riff. I can. I also think of "The Manhattan Project" and "Alien Shore" when I hear this song. "Alien Shore" has always been yet another one of my all time favorite Rush songs. Now I know the lyrics are sort of cheesy but if you you know me pretty well by now my brain doesn't really follow the lyrics. I'm about ready to book a trip to their opening night gig. I could give a fukk that I live in California. Life is shore, I mean short. Get it? Shit "The Garden" is playing right now. Yet another epic perfect song. For all of you on this awesome forum to call me a TROLL just FUKK OFF! I know many of you on this forum are great true Rush fans. I may be a zany posting tool but hey to quote my other new favorite Rush song: "It is what it is!!" RUSH IS THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!! I am not a TROLL! I am not a POSER!!! I know who the real Rush fans are on this Board! Shit! The years and beers keep flowing by. Fly By Night bitches!! I'm one of the biggest Rush fans on the Earth! For those of you who can't see that then open up your fuckking blind ignorant eyes!! RUSH FOREVER!

I like the Wreckers Earl but I don't think it sounds like these two songs more than it sounds like maybe 30 or 40 others...not that I'm calculating or anything. I have no idea actually...but still I don't hear those songs in it really...

I thought this album wasn't very good after one listening and now I think it's simply a masterpiece. I am a fool my friend and I guess I love to jump the gun and I hear things completely different than most folks but hey, "it is what it is." I'm ready to tour the country for this album. Ironically I remember stating in my other thread that I was going to cancel my Vegas and L.A. show. Damn I'm an idiot. But hey at least I can admit that on here. I love this place. I don't care if people think I'm a Rush Troll. Life goes on. I know who my friends are. Cheers bud! I'm OUT!

OGr8imL84AD8inF8sBlackSedan
I hear both songs as well. Not so much in the actual music but in the (arranging?) where Geddy voice is really prominent over Neils and Alexs light drumming and guitar. Dylan2712
The intro reminds me a lot of Everyday Glory, though i can see Manhattan Project in the song as well.
