That man is a pure genious! Have you heard his solo stuff, Aristocrat stuff and GPS stuff? I haven't, But I will check it out. Thanks. Yeah, the GPS is a prog rock album, the solo album "Erotic Cakes" is rock instrumental stuff with some jazz/rock and a few other styles, kind of Steve Vai meets Eric Johnson meets Bumblefoot (who actually plays on the album), and the Aristocrats is a little more jazz/rock instrumental but with some rock stuff, a little bluesy stuff and some other stuff. It's maybe a little quirkier than Erotic Cakes. Sounds interesting. Aye, coincidentally I was listening to the Aristocrats earlier tonight... Here they are live at the Roxy in Hollywood, just to give you a taste: Good stuff, What do you recommend as far as buying a CD? Well this is a new band, they got together last year to make their first record which came out in September. It's available here, and it's cheaper than Best Buy: http://www.amazon.com/The-Aristocrats/dp/B...38353123&sr=8-3 Thanks, I will pick it up next month. Signed RUSHHEAD666 Talking of Earl and Guthrie Govan I'll direct you to another thread of Earl's which I'm just about to respond to: http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?showtopic=74289 Nice one buddy! You and I are in our own league. We are connected amigo. Sonically and musically! Classic post!! Aye! I just watched the movie "GOON" Pat! You would love it!!! greg2112
I like them solely in a nostalgic sense these days. They bring nothing to the table now.
treeduck
I'm listening to Asia's Silent Nation. It's a pretty good album. I got it soon after it came out, mainly because at the time it was just about the only album out there that featured Guthrie Govan! At first I wasn't too impressed but it's really grown on me and the guitar playing is fantastic!
