Also - this will, without a DOUBT, be the MOST BRUTAL MK game in the series' history. The game will be a re-telling of the event's of Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3...with a "twist". And Fatalities are BACK, and more gory than ever. In other words - this isn't Mortal Kombat Vs. ALifeson85 Posted April 22, 2011 Author Share Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) Just got the game on Tuesday (had it pre-ordered) on XBox 360...HOLY...SH*T. THE GREATEST MK GAME SINCE THE 90's!!! The Gameplay : TOP NOTCH! Very fast, responsive, and has sooo much replay value, it's sickening. The Graphics : BEAUTIFUL. The character models, stages, gore effects...all "go to 11"! The Story Mode : HIGHLY epic!! Starts out during the fist MK tournament, and you journey through the story as several different characters. The Fatalities : Horrific... gruesome...bloody...over-the-top...FANTASTIC! This is the first MK game in almost 15 YEARS, where alot of the Fatalities made literally say out loud, "HOLY SH*T!! " HERE'S a few prime examples... Jade Fatality - "Half Mast" Kabal Fatality - "It Takes Guts" Oh yes...Mortal Kombat is BACK!!! If you: a.) are a huge fan of the original MK games (1,2, and 3) b.) love the storyline of the original MK games c.) are a fan of intense video game violence and gore d.) think the best characters were all featured in the original MK games e.) are looking for a fighting game with TONS of different modes f.) Mortal Kombat 1 - 3 was the best era of the series, so I'm VERY glad they stuck to JUST the characters from those games. That's what one of the big problems was in MK Deadly Alliance, MK Deception, and MK Armageddon...most of the new characters that were introduced in those games were horribly uninteresting! Kobra was a rip-off of Ken from Street Fighter, Bo' Rai Cho was a lame attempt at another "humorous" character (Johnny Cage fits that bill enough, imo), Li Mei was another generic Street Fighter-type character...it just got too out of hand. To me, the REAL Mortal Kombat saga is MK 1, MK 2, and (Ultimate) MK3. Mortal Kombat 4 was decent enough, though...which, considering how the Story Mode ends in MK9, the next MK game will (SHOULD) most likely take place during MK4. MK9 IS OWNAGE! Stormtron Posted May 2, 2011 Share Posted May 2, 2011 Kabal was always my favorite from 3 on. He was the first character I ever really learned combos with and he had a cool post-apocalyptic look. Not to mention hook swords are bad ass. With that said..... Noob took his spot for me in this one! He looks awesome and he's the most fun to play with, IMO. Plus he has one of the best Fatalities. Unfortunately, I don't think the Wii could handle this beast of a game LSM.
