France surrenders immediately. Calls goes out to European neighbors and United Nations for "Intergalactic Summit." America prepares for war. France, Germany and Belgium lead a team of UN speakers to hold a "summit" with the aliens at the site of the cylinder - they are turned to ash piles. British newspapers proclaim "Peace with Martians in Our Time!" Minutes later, the black ooze appears in downtown London. Soon, Europeans are turned to piles of ash and corpses, although many liberal and Socialist Europeans implore to their citizens that the Martians are really "OK" guys or the attack is a plot by America and President Bush. France surrenders again. Finally, for the third time in 80 years, Europeans come together for a cry for help!" "AMERICA - HELP US! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"
