Eric Johnson was asked to join UK in 1978 but wanted to pursue his own solo career. Stanley Clarke also asked him to join his band, but Eric wanted to do his own thing. What integrity and sticking to your dreams with no compromises! Sure he knew he could have made a name for himself with either of those bands, but he followed his heart! Eric is a rare human being!
