Ancient Ways
Trailer Park Boys has been running every thrusday night at 10 pm on the directtv channel 101. The series is fantastic. I have one question: Ricky is constantly eating pepperoni. Is this a popular thing to do in Canada? Can you explain the reference? Thanks
Snowdog
Can't explain the pepperoni, but I sure do laugh my butt off at the TPB. I've seen the Alex episode and the movie and am working my way through season 7. This show is funny! The only thing is, I've got to make sure the kiddies aren't around

Americans will occasionally forget the vastness of Canada and it's many different regionalisms. They tend to lump us into one big heap. Pepperoni eating might be popular in one region, and be totally unheard of in others. I'm more of a prosciutto guy myself.

I'm familiar with some of the favored dishes through the states even though I live in FL so I wouldn;t chalk it up to lumping all Canadians into one pile. Just seems odd that they work in the fact that all he seems to eat is giant sticks of pepperoni. It's not like all they had him eating was Horton's. Thanks for the responses.!!!! Last time I went to Canada (1998, I got stuck in Montreal in that friggin' ice storm that slammed you folks), there was no Tim Horton's. I feel I have missed something of great cultural significance. . .

Perhaps you may have missed the ones in Mo'real, I've been to a few down there way before '98. And also: Did you know KFC is called PFK in Quebec? It's true.
