war2112
O.K., I know this is more than a little subjective, because what really defines a cult movie? Sometimes it's movies that are universally panned by critics and moviegoers alike but then build an amazing following and are rented over and over again. Sometimes it's small-budget releases that spread by word of mouth. My favorite is probably Repo Man. I really got a kick out of this movie. Completely far-fetched, but somehow it works. What's your favorite? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Emilio Estevez - "Wow, that was intense" Harry Dean Stanton - "Repo Man's always intense"

Moonraker
My favorite cult movie, none other then the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Is it wrong to know all the lyrics to the songs and have a Frankenfurter costume? http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Cinema/2636/pic-coll1/capeless.jpg

I really thought Rocky Horror would be the first response here. I'll never forget the first time naive me went to see this, on a rowdy college campus, no less. I just could not fathom that people were throwing popcorn at me or that guys dressed as women were doing the "time warp" again and again and again. I was in fear for my life during that show. What an experience.
xanadu66
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is my cult favorite too... although I like Riff Raff more than Frankenfurter http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v477/rushchick/lips.jpg
Slaine mac Roth
I'm split between two. I'll confess that I'm also a bit RHPS fan (and I know most of the dialogue backwards and, being such a lecher, think Susan Sarandon had rarely looked better). Choice no 2 has got to be Dark Star - probaly the best SF comedy ever made (yes, even better than Red Dwarf).
