joanneeeeee
We are secrets to each other Each one's life a novel No-one else has read Even joined in bonds of love We're linked to one another By such slender threads We are planets to each other Drifting in our orbits To a brief eclipse Each of us a world apart Alone and yet together Like two passing ships Just between us I think it's time for us to recognize The differences we sometimes feared to show Just between us I think it's time for us to realize The spaces in between Leave room For you and I to grow We are strangers to each other Full of sliding panels An illusion show Acting well-rehearsed routines Or playing from the heart? It's hard for one to know We are islands to each other Building hopeful bridges On a troubled sea Some are burned or swept away Some we would not choose But we're not always free In that mood............ Modest Man From Mandrake
I have a song stuck in my head, it's not what you would call a normal song. Does anyone remember the Price is Right? Well do you remember the game Cliff Hanger. It's the one where the contestant guess the price of an item and a little mountain climber starts up the hill. Well do you remember that song that played when he was climbing the Hill? That's what is stuck in my head. Yo da do dee yo da do dee yo da do dee do Yo da do dee do Yo da do dee do As far as I can tell that's what the lyrics are.

joanneeeeee
Someone talks about a road At the end find life's gold I went out to get a drink of water But I saw an ocean far away I thought of how much beyond awaits me Foolishly I turned my head the other way Do you like where you're livin' at? I'm not happy inside You could build a golden house Yeah but still I'm sad inside I set out on a long and lonely journey And travelled through some strange and distant lands And many times I thought I'd found life's meaning But it slipped away like water in the sand Do you like where you're livin' at? I'm not happy inside You could build a golden house And still I'm sad inside One summer storm, I'm waitin' for the sun One summer storm, I've waited so long Waited so long Yeahhhhhhhh! In our lives, we've all drank of the water Heard the ocean callin' out our names Some will seek and find their life's meaning And some will turn their heads the other way... joanneeeeee
I said I played this song so many times before That the melody keeps repeating. Growing new ideas, flowing chords and notes, Like a mountain river bleeding. Well, I say as I look back at all the thoughts I've had, They reflect just what I'm learning. Yes, you know that the hardest part, yes, I say it is to stay on top, On top of a world forever churning. Well, you say you laugh, but I can see that your eyes are glass. Well, do you see, can't you see,can you see what I'm feeling? Yes, I've seen your face before. Why said I've seen it everywhere, Showing up to me without a scent revealing. Well, I said will it ever change? Oh yes lord i said Will it stay the same? I'd surely like to know before it's over. Well, I said I played this song. Yes I said it won't be long, Won't be long before I stop and play, play another. You know I've, I've seen your face before. Is it ever gonna, ever gonna change again? Oh, oh I've, I've been in one place too long. Is it ever gonna, ever gonna change again? yup, stuck in my head ALL morning
BestIKenster
A modest man from Mandrake Travelled rich to the city He had a need to discover A use for his newly-found wealth Because he was human Because he had goodness Because he was moral They called him insane Delusions of grandeur Visions of splendour A manic depressive He walks in the rain Eyes wide open Heart undefended Innocence untarnished Cinderella Man Doing what you can They can't understand What it means Cinderella Man Hang on to your plans Try as they might They cannot steal your dreams In the betrayal of his love he awakened To face a world of cold reality And a look in the eyes of the hungry Awakened him to what he could do He held up his riches To challenge the hungry Purposeful motion For one so insane They tried to fight him Just couldn't beat him This manic depressive Who walks in the rain
