madra sneachta
QUOTE (rickyrob @ Dec 9 2004, 06:07 PM) .......isn't google a great thing [/quote] I tried searching on google and came up with nowt. How'd you manage that? I didn't, I just got the name of the album. I know the drummer played on My Favourite Headache, so I'm just "fishing" big time. I've read the credits opf every Ian Thomas Band album (they're on Anthem and HughSyme plays keyboards). There's thank yous to Geddy for loans of Mellotrons, but no reference to PLaza 2 or Rush. A Companion Unobtrusive
Looks like it's time for a hint. From now on everybody can guess once! The band has been mentioned among the previous guesses, and I believe that they have also been referred to on a RUSH album, though I don't remember which one. (Not with the full band name, but with a nickname that must refer to them)

rickyrob
I think everyone's latched onto the probability that its Max Webster....I'd laugh if it was wrong Max Webster were the first band I ever saw live, when they toured with Rush in '78... rickyrob
I can't guess again, but I bet its UFO. They did mention Rush on Strangers in the Night (one of the best live albums ever incidentally), so it might be one of their studio albums. I only have one - Mechanix, but not checked it yet.
