Bastille Night
Woohoo, so nice to see that this thread is still alive, and even better to see that it's being kept alive by two such lovely women! Well, Lady April claims that the Hungarian Phrasebook is ONE of the best sketches ever, and I must agree......but it's not the BEST, and I'm not sure I can choose my favorite. But if I must, I would choose THIS as my favorite Python sketch of all time: (look for the Free Will reference! ) with this as a close second: Upper Class Twit of the Year! (Apologies if these have been recently posted, and the fact that I can't ever remember how to embed videos....oh well!)

It has been a long time since you've been in here because you have not been in here the whole time I have I do agree that Hungarian phrase book is definately not one of the best. I do however think that it is one of the funniest John Cleese characters and the idea plays out well throughout the whole episode. In the end Palin goes to trial for writing the book knowing it was a farce On the top of my list, although All Python is Faboo, Dennis Moore, Scott of the Antarctic, Upperclass Twit and all Gumbies Following closely behind is Confuse-A-Cat, Hell's Grannies, Interesting People and Spot the Looney

I'm trying to figure out how to do a double quote thing here, and it's not working out, so I'll just say that I read your post Lady April, and I agree.....there's no way to pick a true favorite.....they are all too good! But, I did look through a few others, and I'd say this one ranks up there with the best (that you didn't already mention):
