Watching the new rules is bad enough, but playing with them... I hate these rules, they are so stupid, and effect certain types of players. Like myself. But so far it looks like: 1. Any little touch with the stick, is a penalty (This is the big one) 2. You may not move a player out of the front of the net with you body. HOWEVER, you may move them out with you skates. (Like ) 3. If you are in the motion of hitting a player who has the puck, then that player passes it you may crush him, it will be no penalty. There are a couple other ones, i will fill in on the 17th about the rest of em, but that's the ones i know for know. They (how do I put this in a "family friendly manner... ok I can't!!!! ) I HATE it! You can't even knock at a player's stick to make him give up the puck! You can't lift a stick you can't poke at them coming into your zone, How the *#$! do you play Defence with rules like this?!?!?!?!? They have NEUTERED HOCKEY!!!!!! The games took forever with all the penalties! I'm not talking 5-10 I am talking 20 to THIRTY penalties in one game!!! it was not pretty... THERE IS ABOSOLUTLEY NO STICKWORK ALOUD The ref will call it immediatly with out hesitation. Basically it's the same principles as the NHL rules. Minus the icing and lines behind the goalie nets. One of the patients came in today and she plays hockey...she said the last game was just stupid funny because there was 48 penalty's...there were 5 people in the box at a time. Apparently in our junior games here there's an average of over 100 Penalty minutes a game with the new rules in place. How much fun is that?
