I know that sometimes the hospitals will allow you to bring food in as long as it is within the patients diet guidelines. You and your Dad are in my prayers. blonde77th Posted December 14, 2006 Author Share Posted December 14, 2006 He is on a regular diabetic diet, but no one can get up there at meal times to bring him anything else I am the only one in the area & I don't get up there till arounf 6 or 7 at night . blonde77th Posted December 15, 2006 Author Share Posted December 15, 2006 Dad is not eating and they are doing more tests on him ,he had the scope yesterday morning & is having a barium whatever this morning he is again in a lot of pain No one knows what the heck is going on so time will tell . blonde77th Posted December 19, 2006 Author Share Posted December 19, 2006 Thanks My brother will be down this weekend then i will have a update on my Dad all i will say is Alzheimer's Is a terrible thing & my Dad has the violent part right now which with him being sick on top of it don't help . I Love him & care about him but can't take the brutality of it ,I found myself crying all the time & getting very depressed , So on his last burst at me I Broke ( kinda like the straw that broke the camel's back ) .They can be so cruel & don't realize it . Everyone around me understands & I myself have lost some strenght over my own battle this year & I need to get it back .I Pray he will get better but for now I have No choice I have to walk away ( there is more but i really can't deal with it right now ) Thanks for all the understanding you All have given me & not pushing me to speak about this till I was ready . I know that this is so hard to do but I am so glad to see that you are putting yourself and your health where it needs to be... 1RST. By knowing you need to take care of yourself that will in turn help your Dad. You won't be good for anyone if you are not well. Prayers and thoughts as with you and your family now more than ever.
